KIARA This week could not have gone slower. Right now, I was sat at the back of a school classroom that I knew all too well: history. I hate history lessons. Almost as much as maths, if i'm being honest. It's not that I don't find anything that we learn interesting. I just strongly dislike the teacher. Mrs Walker absolutely despised everyone in this class, and I had no idea why.
"Could this lesson go any fucking slower?" Malakhi groaned from the seat next to me as he leaned his head against the wall. We were only ten minutes into the lesson which meant that we still had fifty minutes left.
"Tell me about it. I just want to leave." I mumbled whilst wiping my eyes. I was always on the verge of trying not to fall asleep in this lesson. My leg bounced up and down as I looked away from the clock on the wall.
"Yeah, at least it's a Friday though. I've genuinely never been more excited for a weekend." He responded, causing me to nod in agreement. The two of us said that exact same statement every single Friday.
After a few more minutes of the teacher rambling on about how none of us try hard enough in her lessons, I ended up zoning out.
The last thing I actually paid attention to was when Malakhi rolled his eyes at the teacher's voice. "No wonder we don't get any work done. Too busy telling us that we're gonna fail in life just because we don't know what time King Henry went to take a piss." He muttered, making me snicker. Mrs walker suddenly darted her head over in our direction, shooting us a deathly glare. I quickly covered up my quiet laughs by pretending to cough.
As soon as she went back to ranting about us, I glanced at Malakhi with a warning expression. A grin was still tugging at the corners of my mouth so I whispered to him, "stop it." As a response, he just shrugged with a wide smirk on his face.
When I finally zoned out, the first thing that came to my mind was how Taylor was telling the truth. The day that she found my account, when she first told me that she would be there to talk whenever, I thought she just said that for the sake of it. I certainly didn't think that she would respond to any of my other messages after that day.
My thoughts mainly drowned out Mrs Walker's voice; however, I was pulled out of my daydream when Malakhi nudged me with his elbow. I glanced over at him and I think he could tell that I had zoned out so he leaned over towards me and began to mumble something.
