TAYLOR
I had dropped Kiara off at school around an hour ago now, and I couldn't get one thing out of my head. The look on her face when I gave her breakfast. I wish I didn't, but it's a look that I know all too well. Was she scared of eating? I need to get to the bottom of this before she goes back to that group home.

The last thing I want to do is assume. It's something i've gotten used to doing with Kiara. However, every time i've assumed something, i've been right, which makes these thoughts in my head even louder. The thoughts telling me that I need to be checking up on what she's like around food.

My overflowing thoughts came to an end as I heard my phone ringing in the living room. I walked over to it, and before I picked it up, I spared a quick glance at who was actually calling me.

Scott Borchetta.

"Hey, Scott." I greeted whilst pinching the bridge of my nose, having a brief idea of what he was about to say.

"Taylor, what's this about you taking some random kid in?" He asked, frustration evident in his voice.

"Okay, one, she's not a random kid. I've been talking to her for months, which is how I got to meet her since I invited her to the New York secret session. And two, I haven't taken her in. I've offered to look after her until Sunday, that's it." I explained, sitting down on the couch.

"And Tree's okay with that? Taylor, you've been gone for a year. People are seriously going to think that kid is a publicity stunt if you're seen together. Plus, you have a tour coming up in six months. Six. You do not have the time to look after a kid. You need to start rehearsing and-"

Before he could continue, I cut into his rant, putting a stop to it immediately. "Last time I checked, Scott, you weren't my publicist. Tree is completely fine with it and she's not worried about time. It's only until Sunday, it's not the end of the world. Kiara's not a bother to me either. She's the sweetest girl i've ever met, so, if that's all, i'd like to get back to my day." I told him, fighting the urge to roll my eyes.

"Fine, but if this affects the tour or goes wrong in any way, don't say I didn't warn you. See you later, Taylor." He then hung up in an instant, causing me to scoff in disbelief and place my phone in my back pocket.
