WE SKIPPED THE entire period in the nurses office. It wasn't that awkward, we just talked and went on our phones. Nothing too interesting like you think it would be.
As soon as the bell rang, we raced outside, Jungwon going straight to the football field and me going straight to the cafeteria. Of course, Rieun was at our table, chugging down her second cola of the day.
"Hae, my mom packed us some food!" she said, shoving a sandwich wrapped up in plastic wrap my way as I took a seat. "Eat up!"
I thanked her and took a bite. Suddenly, a person running from the end of the cafeteria caught my eyes. "Is that...?" I began, my mouth hanging open ready for the sandwich that never came. "Sangjin." Rieun finished off my sentence, pursing her lips with an amused twinkle in her eyes.
He was running quite comically towards us, and when he arrived, he took the seat next to me and leaned his elbows forward on the table, trying frantically to catch his breath.
"Sangjin, oh my god!" I exclaimed in horror, worried about what had happened. "What the fuck?!"
Sangjin smiled at me through pants, before taking a sip of the cola can Rieun had left in front of her. "I had to run away from ice queen! I almost died on the way though!" he exclaimed and I frowned. "How?" I asked. "I accidentally came across some of the boys from JYP High, and damn their hot!"
Rieun laughed. "I wonder what they're doing here-" but I cut her off. "Wait! Sangjin, are you into guys?!" I blurted out, confused.
He pushed me on the shoulder sassily. "Took you long enough to realise, girlie" and I hugged him tightly. "Im so proud of you!" I squealed. He pried my hands off his shoulders. "Thanks girlie," he managed to blurt out through the tight hug.
"But Haejin," Rieun urged, tapping me on my shoulder. "Hmm?" I hummed. "Aren't you also in Sangjin's biology class?"
Before I could say anything, Sangjin pushed me aside. "Yeah she is, but she escaped with her little boyfriend for the entire period!" he said with wide eyes, and I roughly pushed him out of the way.
