"GOOD AFTERNOON WORKERS!" Johnnys voice rang through the store as he walked in, dressed in his usual suit and slicked back hair.
Seona, Jay and Haejin scrambled up to the front counter. "Good afternoon," they all chorused, in different tones. They looked at each other awkwardly before looking back at Johnny.
"Ah Haejin," he said with a wide smile, walking over to the girl. "These two" he looked at the two older workers in anger. "Have told me that something is up with you."
"Hey hey hey!" Jay said in alarm. "Seona sent in the enquire not me please spare me-!" he placed his hands together, but Seona pushed him away.
She took a deep breath before speaking.
"Well basically we noticed something was weird with Haejin so Jay and I decided to pull out our detective skills and tried to figure out why Haejin was suddenly so distant and miserable and we thought it was this boy in her school because she used to be so happy around him but then she literally ran into the staff room when his car pulled up one day so we thought he cheated on her with her best friend?!" she said in one breath.
Johnny looked rather unimpressed. "I'd like to hear it from Haejin please." Haejin looked surprised. "Hear what from me?" she asked, ending it with an awkward chuckle.
"Hear the reason why you've suddenly been working so many hours" Johnny asked, using his usual amount of hand gestures to help get the message across. "We can help you, you know!"
"Yeah," Jay said. "We can find that guy who cheated on you with your best friend and beat him till he's nothing but a pulp!"
"That's not the problem-" Haejin began, but Seona cut her off. "I'm a black belt in martial arts, I can crush his bones into teeny-weeny pieces and feed them to the dogs!"
"Guys!" Haejin yelled, and the two immediately snapped out of their act. "I'm telling you that's not what happened!" she said. "Then what happened?" they asked in sync.
Haejin took a deep breath. "I'll tell you guys what happened. But promise not to tell anyone."
And so she told them the entire story. She told them everything that had happened since she had moved to Sangang.
