IT WAS MONDAY morning, and I was at Riki's place. Yeji, his older sister, had made us a very delicious breakfast of cornflakes, absolutely 5-star Michelin worthy. We were now sitting in Riki's room, waiting for time to pass by.

We used to do this all the time when we were in elementary school. Now, we were starting again. "Where's Pinkie Pie at?" I enquired. The sun was shining through the windows, yet the only view I was met with was the white blinds of Haejin's room.

"Why are you asking?" Riki asked, leaning back in his chair, seeming to be in deep thought. I smirked, also leaning back in my chair and rested by arms behind my head.

"We may or may not have kissed."

Riki practically jumped off his chair, jaw dropping in surprise. "You absolute idiot! My mother is going to skin me alive you fucking ass hole!"

"For the second time."

Riki went absolutely ballistic. "Yang Jungwon, why?! You could've picked any other girl but Jeong Haejin!"

"Why's your mother so pissed though?" I asked, and Riki did an immense switch up. He was now calm and almost bored. Mood swings go crazy. "She's very protective over Haejin. Loves her more than she loves me. Used to take care of her when she was little. We were kind of baby besties."

I raised my eyebrows in acknowledgement. "What about you though, Riks? How have you been?" I asked, in an attempt to appear more considerate.

Riki slumped in his chair. "I've been doing so much homework. That's all this school gives us, more and more fucking homework!" He grumbled, cuss words flowing out as easily as his complaints.

I sniggered. "You're just stupid."

"And you're an insufferable prick."

—— her

I was currently sitting in English, tapping my pen on the book as I stared out through the window. The leaves on the trees were withering to form crisp brown shells, piling up in a gradually thickening pile on the ground.
