"YOU SURE YOUR parents won't mind?" Rieun asked, carrying in a very drunk Haejin. I nodded. "They're staying at a hotel tonight, they won't be back until tomorrow evening."
Rieun smirked. "Looks like you'll be getting a baby brother or sister, Yang."
I rolled my eyes. "Wow, so hilarious." I commented sarcastically as the three of us walked up the stairs towards my room.
"I can't believe you actually agreed to let her sleep here" Rieun said, as we came into the room. I shrugged my shoulders. "I like doing good deeds for others."
Rieun bit back a laugh as another comment came tumbling out of her mouth. "Well, you certainly won't be doing any deed with her". She shoved Haejin into my arms.
I almost tumbled back as the drunk girl gripped into my shoulder for support. "What?" I shot Rieun a confused glare as I hesitantly put my hands on Haejin's back in order to stabilise her.
"These heels. I need to take these heels off before they kill me" Rieun said, literally ripping her shoes off her feet. She rubbed them gently, the creases on her face immediately relaxing.
She then placed her purse on my bed, rummaging through it. After a good seconds of rummaging, she finally brandished a pair of yellow pyjamas. A yellow top with thin strings and small grey bows on the top of the sleeves, and a pair of matching shorts also decorated with two small grey bows on either side. "It's small, but it should fit" she said, taking a glance up and down Haejins slumped body.
"Wha-at? What else do you have in that purse?!" I questioned with struck eyes. Rieun just scoffed with a small smile. "A lot, but you don't need to know."
She walked towards me and practically ripped the drunken girl off my shoulder, leading her towards the bathroom. I sat down on my bed as the door closed, running a hand through my hair.
I walked over to my closet, exchanging my tuxedo for a more comfortable pair of black track pants and a thin white t-shirt.
I sat back on my bed, leaning against the headboard. I took out my phone and began to scroll through my social media feed, ignoring the amount of messages I had. My snapchat was the same story, heaps of unopened snaps from girls I didn't even know.
It wasn't that I didn't like the attention, it was the fact that I didn't have time for anybody. What was the point of starting a relationship when I clearly didn't have feelings for the other person?
I had dated before, around three or four times, but they always ended in chaos. It had been a couple of years since I had last dated, but that feeling of attraction had recently revisited me.
I stared at the door as Rieun came out, looking tired and irritated. "Haejin's more consciousness now."
"How'd you do it?" I asked, a small smirk playing on my lips. Rieun scrunched up her nose. "Just threw a bit of water on her, but she's fully conscious."
"I helped her get changed, she's just washing her face now," Rieun explained while picking up her purse and picking up her heels from where they laid in the corner of my room.
"Don't you dare do anything to her," she added menacingly, as she edged closer to the door. I raised my hands up in defence, eyes becoming innocent. "Woah, I'm not going to do anything!"
"Promise?" she asked, eyes darkening and narrowing dangerously at mine. I gulped, and nodded solemnly. "Promise."
She stared at me for a little longer before her eyes eased, and she walked out the door. "Drop her off home tomorrow, Yang."
"Bye Rieun!" I waved her off as she walked out. "See ya Yang." She walked out, shutting the door as she did. I exhaled sharply, leaning over across my bed to switch of the light.
My room was now solely illuminated by the moon and the stars. The light from the street lights below drifted up, giving my room the perfect glow. From the window, the city twinkled excitedly, the tall buildings cutting through the ocean of stars above. Yet amongst all of this light, the moon asserted its dominance, glowing stunningly amongst the rest.
I could now here as the tap went off, the sound of water hitting the base of the sink muffled. It soon stopped, and I heard the door open with a click.
