captain save a hoe - e-40—— them
"OFFICER JEONG, I have complaints about a car speeding on the highway, do you see him?" the man in the radio asks before buzzing out.
Haejin cranked her neck, looking straight out. Sure enough, she spotted a blue Porsche driving at lighting speed down the highway, narrowly dodging cars and switching through the lanes with ease. "Is it a blue Porsche?" she asks. "Yep, the number plate is J-Y-P-1-4-3"
"I'll get him," she said, her voice echoing too the other side before cutting off with a static buzz. "Be quick" the operators voice came from the other line. "I'm getting a lot of complaints."
"Yes sir."
Haejin groaned, starting the ignition, the car rumbling slightly. "Bloody hell, which fucking idiot decides to speed at eleven in the morning" she muttered angrily under her breath.
With the press of a button, the sirens went on. And off she went, buzzing down the highway. In a matter of seconds, she had managed to weave her way through the flock of cars and tailing right behind the Porsche.
The Porsche soon gave up, pulling over to the side of the highway. Haejin smirked triumphantly, opening the door carefully and stepping out of her car.
She walked over to the Porsche, tapping the window with her knuckles. As the window pulled down, she didn't look at the person, just began to right on her notepad.
"I'm sorry to interrupt but are you aware you were speeding..." her voice muted down as she made eye contact with the driver. Those familiar brown orbs staring right back at her.
"Speeding down my heart," Haejin muttered. she went off track, lost in those eyes all over again. "I'm sorry?" he asked, not quite hearing what she said. "Oh-" Haejin shook her head slightly, snapping out of her daze.
"You've been speeding way over the speed limit. I'm going to have to write you up a ticket" she said, with a small smile. "Aww" he pouted. "Come on, at least be a tiny bit lenient towards me!"
Haejin laughed. "I'm sorry Jungwon, but the rules are the rules." she handed him a yellow slip. "And I will forever be a rule follower."
"Bullshit," Jungwon scoffed. "I see your still Jeong Haejin," he said, his eyes gesturing towards the name badge of her chest. "Oh yeah," she looked down at her badge, her fingers brushing over her name slightly.
He looked up at her. "Marriage not happened yet?" he asked. Haejin replied with a small chuckle. "He ran away with someone else six months ago."
"Oh" he said, the atmosphere becoming a bit awkward. "You know we could always give things another chance." Haejin laughed again. "It's being five years, Jungwon, it's time to let things go don't you think?"
"It's been five years and I'm still trying to get you out of my mind," he said smoothly. Haejin blushed slightly. "Give it up. Go home and enjoy the rest of your day," Haejin said, walking back to her car.
"Or maybe I'll speed more often just to see you again."
