HYUNJIN LED ME up to the balcony. The cool fall breeze hit my legs gently, easing me. As we leaned against the railing, I couldn't complain. The weather was beautiful, I felt beautiful and I had a beautiful boy next to me. What else could I have asked for?
"That speech was so boring," Hyunjin finally said, turning his head and making eye contact with me. His cat-like eyes seemed to bore into mine, and I bit my lip slightly. But, if I had noticed, there was so much desire in those eyes. Desire, just pure, plain desire. There was no understanding, no admiration, no softness. Just desire.
"I know right," I breathily agreed, turning away to look at the breathtaking view of the stars and the moon, twinkling away amongst the dark sky.
He fiddled in his pocket, before brandishing a small cardboard box. I had never smoked or done cigarettes before. "You want one?" he asked, cocking his head towards the box in his right hand. I shook my head. "I've never smoked before."
"It's fun," he said, taking two out and passing one to me. I straightened my back, turning to him then looking back at the cigarette in the fingers. "I'll show you."
"First, you put it in your mouth." He placed it in between his lips. I did the same.
He took out a lighter from his pocket, and quickly lit his, before lighting mine. "Now, you just breath it in," he said in a muffled voice. "And breath it out." He said, taking a puff, and letting the gas back out. I did the same.
I expected it to have a burning feeling, but it didn't. It felt good. It felt as if all the stress and worry I had was gone. All in just a few pumps.
A few seconds turned into a few minutes, as Hyunjin and I stood outside on the balcony for a good half and hour, smoking away and giggling at times.
"You look so cute right now," he said flirtatiously, tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear. I blushed, looking down at my feet. "Your making me blush, stop it" I said playfully, slapping his shoulder gently.
"Come on, let's go back downstairs" he said, wrapping his arm around my shoulder, before dropping his cigarette butt down onto the ground. He then took my cigarette from my fingers and chucked it onto the ground, before stepping on the pair of them.
"Alright" I agreed, nodding my head, as I let him guide me down the stairs. I made my way to the dance floor, where I saw Sangjin. Hyunjin disappeared somewhere on the floor as well, but I didn't really care.
"Hey, Jinnie" Sangjin said, making his way over to me, dancing. I began to dance alongside him, as we both jammed to Jinyoung Parks "Groove Back."
"Hey, other Jinnie" I commented back, and saw as he grinned. "I love this song so much" he exclaimed, in a slightly drunk voice.
"Then shut up and enjoy it" I sarcastically commented, shoving him with my bum slightly. He shoved me back, calling me to roll my eyes.
We danced hard out to hits like "Groove Back", "Likey", "After Like", "Watch it", "Guerilla", and "The Boys". I felt so carefree, so happy as I danced my heart out. Dancing was something I've always loved ever since I was little. I could express my self without saying anything, just through my movements and my face. I could forget about every little worry that had been circling through my head. That was until Sangjin spoke again.
"Where's your little boyfriend from JYP High gone?" he asked, and I momentarily paused my dancing, eyes wandering around the dance floor.
And there I saw Hyunjin, kissing Jang Hira from hockey ever so passionately. My jaw dropped in disgust. Sangjin followed my eyeline, and his jaw also dropped in disgust upon seeing them. "Eww, that is so gross" he sassily remarked, especially enunciating the 'so'.
All of a sudden, I didn't feel like dancing anymore, and walked over to the bar. I looked around, and suddenly Riki popped up from behind the bar. I placed my hand on my heart in surprise and jumped back slightly.
"Woah, Riki! What are you doing here?" I breathlessly asked, trying to recollect myself. "Jungwon and Seorin payed me three thousand bucks to be the bartender for tonight's event!"
"Woah, three thousand dollars..." my voice trailed off in awe. These people must be rich rich. "That's a lot of money!" Riki nodded, his eyes creasing into tiny moons as he smiled.
"It sure is!" he agreed. "Anyways what can I get for you?" I pursed my lips, thinking before speaking. "Five glasses of the strongest alcohol you have."
"Woah," Riki remarked, rummaging through his shelves before brandishing a large bottle of something gold. "Heartbreak hitting that hard?"
I nodded. "I just need to forget for a few good hours."
As per my order, Riki did deliver. I quickly gulped them down, one by one, slamming each one down on the counter as I finished them. All while Riki just watched with his mouth open and eyes wide in shock.
"Woah, what the fuck!" He said, as I placed the fifth glass on to the counter. Completely empty. I wiped my lips with the back of my hand, before looking at him in the eyes.
"I think I'm going to pass out."
And with that my knees buckled underneath me, eyes hardly managing to fly open. I wasn't actually passed out, I had just lost my balance. The carpet I had anticipated to land on never came. Instead I fell into a pair of arms.
I looked up slightly. It was Rieun. "Oh my fucking god, what the fuck Haejin?!" she panicked, slapping my cheeks slightly. Riki also looked equally panicked, looking out of his place behind the bar. "Won!" he called, to a very unbothered Jungwon who was just standing against a wall, talking to some guys I didn't know.
I struggled to keep my eyes open and couldn't see what happened rest, but I heard Jungwon's voice scream through the crowd.
"Rieun, you take her and come with me in my car. We'll go to my house, maybe she's just tired."
"Good idea."
And the next thing I remember was falling further against Rieuns body, clinging onto her as if she was my everything.
