Chapter 40

After spitting Millie out, the gigantic fish monster then spotted the rest of the group.

"Oooooh mama......" Blitzo told himself, staring the monster down.

Just a moment later, and the monster would charge towards (y/n) and the demons.

"Holy shit!" Loona yelled.

As the monster approached them, it roared.

(Y/n) gritted his teeth and unsheathed his sword, holding it out in front of him.

"Heeeere it coooomes!" Blitzo warned.

Stepping onto the shore, Blitzo and
(y/n) would jump out of it's way, dodging the beast's charge as did Millie who carried Moxxie with her.

Blitzo would roll into the ground and slide to a stand, while (y/n) and the imp couple would simply land on their stomachs.

"Ugh....." He groaned, before getting himself back up.

"C'mon, lets go hun, we gotta get you some where safer for the time bieng" Millie said, getting up and helping her husband as well.

With those four out of it's way, the monster was now looking at Loona and Vortex.

The beast then lunged at the two.

Leaping out of the way, the two hellhounds dodged the beast, as it snapped at them, failing at the attempt to catch them in it's teeth.

Sliding to a halt, both got into defensive positions.

"Where the hell did this thing even come from!?" Loona asked, frustrated with the current situation.

"It looks like a demon....." (Y/n) answered to himself, looking at the beast over.

The fish then looked at Loona and then at Vortex, before growling at him.

Vortex sighed and commented calmly, "Whatever it is, wherever it came from, that doesn't matter right now, what matters is that we hunt this thing down before it hunts us" 

The beast would then snap at the hellhound again, missing him when he jumped out of the way and started running towards the shore.

"Tch, you don't gotta tell me twice!"
(Y/n) responded.

The fish monster then turned around and began to chase to Vortex.

Seeing it come back, Blitzo began to shoot it with his pistol.

Multiple shots hit the monster at it's head, but it didn't seem to slow it down, in fact, it only made it angrier, causing the beast to shake it's head violently.

"What the fuck!? Why didn't the bullets kill it!?" Blitzo yelled, looking at his weapon.

"It- it might have a thick layer of flesh! I don't think the bullets got through deep enough" (Y/n) answered, darting his eyes at the ground in thought.

While the monster chased Vortex back to the shore, Millie lead Moxxie towards the street, where she would take him to an alley way and behind a dumpster.

"Stay here Mox, we've got some shit to take care of....." Millie said, sitting her husband down to the floor. 

"But Millieeee, I want to see the fishyyyy~" Moxxie risisted, still in his drunken state.

"Sorry babe but you're gonna have to sit this one out" Millie replied, and  kissed the imp on his forehead.

She then walked away, and as Moxxie watched her leave, he reached an arm out to her, before swaying and falling to the ground on his face softly, letting out a hiccup.

Back at the beach, the monster swipes it's paw at Vortex, who jumps over it with ease, but ends up smacking Blitzo away, "oof!"

The imp was then launched into the water, landing with a painful splash.

"Blitzo!" (Y/n) shouted, worried for the imp.

He then popped out of the water, coughing some out and wearing an expression of annoyance on his face.

"Im fine....." He responded, sighing.

Vortex continued to run away from he monster, who chased him down.

'Can he really out run that thing? And if not, how long would he be able to? Rrrrr, come on, somebody do something!' (y/n) thought.

Looking around he shook his head in frustration.

He then acted out the first thing he thought of.

Seeing a bottle on the sandy ground, he picked it up and threw it at the monster, hitting it in it's face and surprising it to a sliding stop.

"Hey! Why don't you pick on someone your own size!?" The boy yelled.

The beast then turned it's head to him, snarling in his direction.

"Crap....." (Y/n) whispered to himself.

Before he knew it, the monster started to sprint towards him on all fours.

Just like it, (y/n) would start running as well, towards the streets.

"HEY HEY HEY, GUYS DO SOMETHING, BEFORE IT FREAKING EATS MEEEEE!!!!!" The boy screamed.

"Fuck man, can't believe all this shit started with a parking spot......" Loona complained, shaking her head.

She then ran towards the beast, and jumped on it's arm, digging her hellhound claws that she grew into it's flesh.

Making her way up, she climbed the beasts arm and on top of what she thought was it's neck, which the monster took notice of.

The beast then tried to shake Loona off but her hold on it's flesh proved to be firm.

It then began to jump, trying to shake her off it's body.

"(Y/n)! Fucking cut it!" She shouted, as she held her own on the monster.

The boy then looked back as he contineud to run, and saw the hellhound on the beast.

"Cut it!?" He questioned himself, and looked at the sword he held in his hand.

'But how!?

Where!?

I-.....

No!

I can do this!

Come on!' the boy thought, motivating himself.

He then looked back again.

'It keeps jumping.....

Maybe I can cut it's stomach open, but I'll have to be very careful

And time it it just right.....

Or I'll be crushed to death by its feet'
(y/n) thought to himself.

What he was about to do was extremely dangerous, but it was either that or getting eaten alive by some giant fish monster.

The adrenaline pumped through his veins, his heart raced.

As the beast continued to chase him while trying to shake Loona off it's neck, the boy timed his moment to attack.

After a few seconds, the beast jumped again, and (y/n) would slide to a stop and jump towards it, now under the monster, that was in the air.

Flipping his body over, the boy stabbed his sword into the monster's underside, and dragged it down it's body as it passed him.
