Chapter 65

Anyone who was still alive in the audience has ran for their lives, leaving the theatre empty, with just (y/n), Loona, the cherubim and some corpses here and there.

'Don't worry Loona, I'll get the grimoire back, and get you back home, just- leave it to me.....' (y/n) thought, as he sighed, staring at the cherubim.

The boy then looked back at Loona and used his telekinesis to move the hellhound to a seat in the audience, far from the stage, as to keep her safe from the battle.

'I hope she's safe enough there.....' he thought.

He then turned his attention back the the cherubim.

"Ready? Alright then, let's not keep you waiting!" The cherubim said, before they had three large golden glowing bows appear at their sides and above them, and pointed at the boy.

The bows then shot three arrows at him at the same time.

And the boy jumped out of the way, dodging the arrows and rolling on to the ground.

On one of his shoulders, he felt a spike of pain, and looking to the source, the boy realized that he only dodged two of the arrows, as one had grazed his shoulder, cutting him.

The wound bled, yet it wouldn't be enought to kill him, thankfully.

'What the!?- We just started, and they've already got me!' the boy noted in his mind.

"Awww what's wrong? Did we get ya?" The cherubim teased.

Gritting his teeth, (y/n) stood up and positioned himself with his sword.

'These guys are going all out.....' he thought to himself.

But he then realized something, and it started with a question.

'Wait- how am I gonna stop them and get the book back? Do I have to kill them? But Loona said they can't be killed..... uuuuugh, maybe..... Maybe they can be defeated, but how?' the boy wondered.

The cherubim then shot a few more arrows at the boy, to which he formed a shield.

'What do I do!?, what do I do!? How do I stop them!?' the boy questioned in panic, as he blocked the incoming arrows.

"Oh come on! Don't tell me you're just gonna stay there blocking our arrows! We've gotta get Heaven to accept us back in, and we don't wanna take all day!" The cherubim yelled.

The boy then froze as he was reminded.

'They're..... Not angels anymore..... That's right! So maybe I can hurt them..... if I cut their wings off, and take their heads, will they lose their power? And if that doesn't work, then maybe I'll have to kill them..... I hope it doesn't have to come to that....." The boy thought, as he continued to block arrows shot by the cherubim.

Tightening his hold on his sword, he huffed and charged towards the cherubim, as he blocked every arrow shot by their bows.

"He's coming after us!" The cherubim told themselves.

As the the boy approaches the cherubim, he jumped and held one of his legs out.

Unfortunately, he failed to kick the cherubim, who flew out of his direction, dodging his attack.

Falling on to the floor, (y/n) rolled across the ground.

"You call that an attack? So pitiful!" The cherubim comment.

The boy then got up quickly, turning his shield off and throwing his sword towards the cherubim.

Seeing it fly towards them, the cherubim ducked.

"Woah!" They shouted, dodging his attack.

"Ha! You missed!" The cherubim stated with a grin, as (y/n) held his arm out.

In the quiet moment, the cherubim heard the sword coming back towards them from behind.

Hearing it approach, they turned around fast, and ducked again, dodging his sword once more.

"Hahahaha! You missed again!" They shouted.

(Y/n) huffed and caught his sword before asking in response, "Did I?"

To the cherubim's unnotice, the boy has already made his way up to them, putting his word away and kicking them from behind down to the ground.

"Y-you tricked us!?" The cherubim questioned in confusion.

Speedily, (y/n) sat himself on top of the cherubim's back and gabbed on to the bases of the wings on their back.

And trying to pull the wings off, the cherubim looked over their shoulders to him.

"W-what are you doing!? Get off of us!" They demanded, before they flew up off the ground, taking the boy with them as he did not let go.

"Gonna hold on huh? Then you better hold on tight!" The cherubim advised, before it began to fly around the theatre.

And as they flew, (y/n) could feel the force of the wind try to pull him off.

But with all the strength he had, (y/n) refused to let go.

"Listen! I don't wanna fight okay!? Just give us the book back!" The boy yelled.

"Ha! As if! The only thing you're getting is a trip to heaven, except you're the ticket!" The cherubim responded with a smile.

They then began to fly barrel rolls, making it harder for the boy to hold on.

"Rrrrrrr" (y/n) growled, as he struggled to hold on to the cherubim.

Suddenly, the cherubim stopped completely, sending the boy flying into some props on the stage, breaking them.

The cherubim then asked him in mockery, "So, did you have enough?"

The boy groaned in pain, slowly getting up, "oooooooh....."

Standing up shakingly, blood ran down his forehead.

'I can't give up.....' he thought to himself.

"Try that shit again, we dare you!" The cherubim yelled.

Coughing, the boy spoke to them, "Can I ask you guys a question?"

"A question? Sure why not? after all, you'll be dead by the time we're done with you" the cherubim replied.

(Y/n) then asked, "You..... You can't die, right?"

"Can we die? Haha! Do you hear this dumbass? No we can't die! We're angels, we can come back from anything!" The cherubim answered.

"Fallin angels....." (Y/n) corrected.

"Fallin angels!? We're not fallin angels you sinful prick! We're nothing like the bastards down in hell!" The cherubim snapped back, offended by the boy.

"Okay, that's all I needed to know....."
(Y/n) told himself.
