I finally woke up for good, after having next to no dreams after the nightmare, and Finana was right next to me, still laying down, and BahnBarr was standing over us. She was smiling down at us, and so, to get back at her, I screamed as loud as I could, feigning surprise.
My scream nearly reverberated through the ship as both BahnBarr and Finana jumped, but BahnBarr lost her footing and prowled out on the ground.
"Oh Trevon what the hell was that?" Finana growled.
"Sorry, BahnBarr's face scared the hell out of me."
"Yeah yeah, funny." She said. "Come on. Your turn for flying the ship, lovebirds. I need a nap."
I turned in the bed, and I was face to face with Finana. She stared at me with those huge, gorgeous purple eyes, each one spiraling and nearly swirling with color and vibrancy. They were beautiful, just like her, and she giggled a little bit as I stared at her.
"Yes, Trevvy?"
"You're beautiful." I said.
She giggled yet again, then stood from the bed, giving me a little kiss on the cheek.
"Hey, can I have a kiss?"
"I just gave you one!"
"No no, on the lips?"
She gave me a smile. "Maybe."
With that, she knelt down, held my face gently, and when she kissed me, it felt like my brain was melting right through my body. I wrapped my arms around her and kept up the kiss, before I heard Ormgaul above me.
"EWWWW!" He complained. "You guys are so gross!"
"Sorry Ormgaul." I said, letting go of Finana and letting her stand up. "Come on. Try to get up."
We all started pulling ourselves out of our beds as we got dressed up in our respective cloaks and armors, and I looked over at Finana.
"You ready for this?" I asked.
"About as ready as I can be." She replied. "What about you? You feeling alright?"
I gave her a nod. "Just anxious." I said truthfully.
She nodded, satisfied with the answer, and we made our way through the ship, passing Pomu, who was nearly face-down in a little serving of cake, stuffing her tiny fairy face with the food. We got onto the deck of the ship finally, and I saw that we were flying through a huge expanse of desert. Nothing but sand, steppes, buttes, plateaus, and sand, sand, and more sand as far as the eye could see. Anakin would have lost his mind. There were a few ruins of temples and buildings here and there, and off in the distance, I saw a massive, half sunken statue of Tempus, though he was NOT that handsome.
"Oh wow." I said. "Theres a lot of stuff out here."
BahnBarr nodded. "The Shaar use to be an old kingdom, way back in the day, before the orcs moved in, of course. Then they gave up fighting, so why even worship, you know, the god of fighting?"
"Yeah that makes sense." I said, staring out at the statue of Tempus. Are they really going to just come fight us?"
BahnBarr pursed her lips as Ormgaul huffed. "Not sure." She said. "It'll take a lot for the orcs to get back into a fighting mood. And even more for getting into a shape to actually fight a full war. I'm pretty sure none of these orcs have swung a sword in anger in years."
"If not longer." I said. "Should we even bother with them?"
"They have the most amount of people. If they raised an army, it would be HUGE. It could rival Alavaar s in size. We have to try, at the very least. I already have an audience with the king."
