As I sat there, on the back of Sisyphilious, staring at Alocertha, my heart nearly sank. It was horrible, seeing her again after the prison in Kir-Ergen, but I grabbed my halberd, determined not to let her get to me, or Finana. She was high up in the tree, leading her troops as they casted spells at the elven soldiers around them, ho were trying to hem the in from all sides, and losing. We had to hurry.
"Finana, inspire me!"
She gave me a kiss, strength surging through my veins, and I stood on top of the dragon's head as he roared again, scaring all of the troops that were fighting. Even Alocertha looked scared of the dragon, yet she stayed calm and collected to keep her troops from running.
"Sisyphus, put us down near the girl with the white hair!" I yelled. "That's our target!"
"And what are we supposed to do?"
"Help the elves to fight!" I yelled. "Breathe fire, cut up the troops, anything you have to do."
Sisyphus smiled, then grabbed onto the tree of Unarith, letting us jump off of his head, and right in front of Alocertha, who glared at Finana, before giving me a smile. Her troops stopped in their tracks, staring at us with unease, and Alocertha formed a small ball of magical energy in her hand.
"Hey Trevon." She said. "I thought I'd find you and....her here."
I stayed silent, driving her angrier and angrier, and I drew my Halberd, holding it at the ready.
"Trevon, here, I'll give you one chance. Just come with me. Leave her behind, and come with me, and all of this stops. Hell, I'll even sweeten the deal. You come with me, and I'll enroll her in any college she wants."
"Fat chance."
She sighed. "I really didn't want to have to do this, Trevon." She said. "I really didn't, but you leave me no choice. Take them!"
Three of the soldiers advanced forward, and rage burned through my veins. I advanced forward, swinging my halberd over my head, and I lopped off the head of the first soldier, before jacking the next with the butt of the Halberd so hard his helmet flew off his head. The third advanced on Finana, but she attacked him viciously with the glaive, before casting a huge, flaming fireball right at Alocertha. For a moment, I thought it would incinerate her right off the tree, but to my surprise, it passed right around her, as if she was made out of steel. It caught the soldiers behind her, burning three of them horrifically, and Alocertha laughed.
"You idiot!" She yelled. "Don't you know how to become immune to magic? Oh wait, no, you don't. I guess I couldn't expect anything less from half-breed monsters."
I screamed in rage, chasing right at Alocertha, and I slashed with the Halberd, smacking her right across the face with the butt of the weapon. It sent her sprawling, and Finana slashed her Glaive at the others as they tried to close in, sparking their armors and forcing them backwards. I raised my Halberd, ready to smack her again, but she thrust her hand at me, and a lightning bolt came down, striking me and Finana, and sending us flying through the air. We both landed in heaps as the soldiers laughed and Alocertha got back on her feet. From the ground, Finana instinctually cast another spell as Alocertha approached, releasing a thunderous wave of force, but she walked right through it.
"Finana!" I yelled. "Watch out!"
I got to my feet, but suddenly, Fianna flashed forward with the glaive, and she cut Alocertha right across the stomach before kicking her, sending the back of her head into my fist, where I laid her flat against the ground. Her blood splattered out of her nose and onto the ground, staining the white marble, and I grabbed the back of her head, picking her up, and slamming her on the ground again. She made a noise like she was being strangled, and so I grabbed her, putting her into a headlock and restraining her. Finana rushed forward as BahnBarr and the others (and even some elven soldiers) occupied Alocertha's guard. Her fist crashed against Alocertha's cheek, sending more blood against the marble walkways, and then, a second strike, this one to the jaw with the butt of the glaive. More blood, and I grabbed Alocertha and flung her on the ground. I got ready to strike her again, but this time, she thrust her hands out, and a thunderous wave of force shot out from her, throwing Finana and I back.
