"Hello Trevon." She said, pressing herself against the bars of the cell. "You look so handsome!"
Instantly, it felt like every single bone in my body was frozen solid, paralyzed with fear of Alocertha, and she smiled.
"What the matter, Trevon?" She asked, mockingly. "What's the matter?'
"You-you're-"
"Yes, I'm here. Teleportation runes truly are a blessing from the gods, are they not?" She asked.
I looked into the cell next to me. Finana was already awake, as were the rest of my friends, and the Dark Orc stood in his cell, watching what was happening.
"I love you, Trevon." She said. "I don't get why you cant see that! WHY CANT YOU SEE THAT??!!??"
She screamed the last part, causing me to flinch, and the two Dragonborn laughed, before Alocertha spun to look at them.
"I don't remember asking you scale-skins a damn thing!" She nearly screeched.
The Dragonborn immediately started yelling insults at her, but Alocertha pointed her hand at them and unleashed a fireball. It roasted both Dragonborn alive and killed them, making Haneen and Ormgaul scream, and Alocertha turned back to me. She had a nearly crazy look in her eyes, like she was enjoying it, then reached out and grabbed my face, trying to press her lips against me. I dodged to the side, then reared back and head butted her, sending her sprawling on the floor.
"TREVON!!!" She screamed. "STOP IT!!!"
"YOU STOP IT!!" Finana screamed then grabbed Alocertha by the hair and put her in a headlock against the cell bars, and yet, I couldn't even help her.
I was frozen straight in place, staring at Alocertha as she choked and sputtered, and I may have been able to help, but as I watched, Alocertha bit Finana's arm. Finana screamed, then Alocertha grabbed her arm, and pulled multiple times, slamming her face against the bars repeatedly. I started forward, about to intervene, but Alocertha popped up and pointed her hand at me.
"NO!" She yelled.
I was thrust back against the wall, losing control of my arms and legs, and I flopped against the wall as she stood.
"I hate Mermaids." She said. "You're coming with me!"
At first, I thought she was talking about me, but she departed the cell, entered Finana's and restrained her against the ground. Sadly, now that Finana wasn't taking her by surprise, it was barely a contest. Alocertha pinned her against the ground, then dragged her out of the room.
"ALOCERTHA!!" I yelled. "NO!! TAKE ME INSTEAD, ILL DO WHATEVER-"
"Shut up, too late!" She roared with laughter. "You had your chance! Now she suffers!"
BahnBarr and the rest of my friends started pounding on their cells and reaching for Finana as she kicked, struggled and screamed. But they were unsuccessful as she dragged Finana away, letting blood drip from her nose and leave a little trail on the ground. The last thing I saw of Finana was her kicking and punching, trying to escape as Alocertha dragged her out of the cell block.
The moment the door at the end of the cell block closed, I finally regained control of my limbs, standing straight up as soon as the door closed and I pounded on my cell as the Dark Orc got up, rattling his door.
"Guys!" I yelled. "We have to do something! Any ideas?"
"I got one!" Haneen said.
She started rubbing her hands together, then cast a spell, and I felt strength coursing through my veins. I grabbed the door of the cell, pulling as hard as I could upward, and it was ripped straight off the hinges as I screamed.
