"Healing Word!!"
Instantly, amidst the sounds of battle, I felt myself get flung back into the land of the living, right as a massive wave of concussive force blasted in front of me, blowing the two Goblins back against the wall like rag dolls, and severely rocking the Worg. It growled and snarled, attempting to lick its wounds as I forced myself to get up.
"A little help here would be nice!!!" She yelled, right as the Worg pounced.
It was jumping, claws out, ready to gouge at Finana, but she swung the handle of her glaive right into its face, just enough to add insult to injury. I finally wobbled to my feet as the Worg got up, and Finana pointed her hand in the air, her fingers glowing gold.
"True Strike." She whispered.
She struck down on the Worg, slicing its neck open, and snarled, right as I jumped on the thing, bringing my knife in a wicked slash, down into its back, cutting it across the spine. As it was flailing however, I grabbed its two front legs and forced them under its belly, in a rather painful way, with a beautiful grapple.
"GET HIM!!!!"
"GET OFF OF ME, YOU DISGUSTING HUMAN!!!" The Worg snarled.
He tried snapping at me to hopefully kill me, but I held him down, his teeth snapping only inches away from my ear, and Finana tried to stab him with the glaive, but we were wiggling around so much, she was unable to get a clear shot on him.
"I can't hit him without hitting you!!" She yelled. "Get me a clear shot!!!"
I was still wrestling with the Worg, trying to keep it from attacking me, but, despite my best efforts, the Worg grabbed me yet again, this time, biting into my arm so hard that I thought it might tear it off, and I went unconscious yet again. My head hit the stone floor, and I hear the very, very faint and muffled sounds of fight above me. I could faintly hear the sounds of the Worg yelling in pain, then, I felt a spell wash over me, but still, I was unconscious. I couldn't feel anything so far. There was a scream from Finana as the Worg howled, then, another spell washed over me, and I finally woke back up.
"Come on Trevon!!!" Finana yelled. "I can't keep doing this!!!"
"Got you!!!"
I scampered to my feet, brandishing my knife, and I brought it down, in a wicked arc, right onto the Worg's neck, and my knife went right into its spine. The beaten, battered, and bloodied Worg instantly stopped fighting, its snarl having been reduced to an almost human-like whimpering. The Worg slumped against the wall, its eyes glistening in the light of the small fire, but, after just a moment, his eyes closed and he lay still.
"Oh my god." I said, realizing that I had almost died twice. "What the hell."
Finana was still breathing heavily and nursing a wound on her leg, which was a nasty slash, courtesy of the Worg, and on top of that, she looked absolutely exhausted.
"We gotta get you a better weapon than that." She said. "And we gotta get you some training in combat, because that was insane."
"Yeah I know. Thanks for having my back there."
"Not a problem."
The both of us turned to Kaela, who was still bound and gagged with rope in the corner, and I crawled over to her, still injured from the combat.
"You gonna be cool if I untie you?" I asked, holding the knife warily.
She vigorously nodded, her eyes still wide with fear, and I cut all of the ropes, letting her completely free of the bondage.
