I closed my fist around the piece of paper, and Jeebs looked back up at me.
"The pact is made. Fix the airship, and take the potions to Westgate. There should be a man, named Halltar. He usually hangs around the outskirts of the city. Paranoid bastard, but I would be damned to every hell if I said the man was anything but effective. He'll send you a sign, and you won't miss it, trust me. Meet him there, and he'll take your cargo. After that, the blood pact will be moot, and our deal will be done. The ship will be yours."
"Good to know. Thank you Jeebs."
"No, thank you, Trevon." She said, rubbing her neck. "The lot number for the ship is there on the paper. Good luck to you."
With that, I exited the small offshoot room, and there was Finana, talking with two of the dwarves as they laughed about something, and as soon as she saw me and Jeebs walk out, she shook her head with a smile.
"Here's the gold I promised you." Jeebs said, handing me a purse that held a ton of gold pieces. "I'll be seeing you guys around!!"
"Sure thing!" I replied.
I walked around the idea of the table, with Xexon giving me yet another stink eye, but for the time being, I just ignored him and went back to Finana, and we both exited Jeebs lair, heading back into the rather rank sewers.
"Sooooooo, what happened in there?"
"Well, I got us a job, the gold, and guess what?"
"What?"
"I got us an airship."
She stopped dead in her tracks and stared at me with wide eyes.
"You got us a WHAT???"
"I got us an airship." I said.
She looked away as she kept looking around us and processing what I had said, then finally looked back at me.
"How did you get that?" She asked. "They're so expensive!!!"
"Well, this one isn't. Mostly because its in disrepair, and the fact that the elemental that inhabits the thing is very, very hostile. So she can't sell it." I said, staring at all of the people around us. "After that, we got a job. She's got potions that need smuggling to Westgate. We signed a blood pact for it."
She nodded yet again, then gave me a funny look.
"Soooooo, what happened in that room?"
"Uhhhhh....nothing."
"Trevon?"
"Can we not talk about that?"
Her jaw dropped immediately, and knew she was about to keep going.
"Did you guys...you know?"
"What? Oh my god no!" I replied. "Jeez Finana."
"What?! You went back there in the room, there were a bunch of REALLY weird noises, and then you came out with her drenched in sweat. What am I supposed to think there?"
"Well, think what you want. It wasn't like that." I smiled.
She nodded again, then after a moment or so of silence, she finally turned back to me.
"Did you rub her ears?"
"Finana!!!"
"Okay okay! Jeez, Trevon." She said, looking away yet again. "But were they soft?"
"FINANA!! All I did was pop her neck and back, is it really that deep?"
Finana laughed, and the end of the sewer came into our eyes. We were almost there. Suddenly, I felt a hand on my shoulder, and I spun around, grabbing my Halberd and preparing to draw it. And right as I turned around, i saw that it was the thugs from earlier, and I managed to grab a glimpse of silver knives in their hands, as well as a hungry gleam in their eyes, as a nasty twist in my gut started forming.
