Instantly, as the icy breath hit me, it was the most pain I've ever been in. First of all, the ice blew through all of my armor, going up and down my shirt and chilling me to the bone, but a split second later, a hail of ice and sharpened icicles slashed against my armor, as well as sharp, jagged pieces of ice that beat and stuck into my skin as my leaking blood froze. I leaned against my Halberd with the flame miraculously still lit, and I shivered, partially because of the cold, but mostly because of the searing hot pain I was in.

"That'll teach you a les-"

The dragon was cut off by a shrill ringing noise, and while it wasn't that bad to me, Mahila doubled over against the top of the steeple and roared. The monsters ears bled just a little bit, and when I looked out at the other side of the street, I saw Finana poke her head out of the shop she was in, and the Dragon growled.

"The mermaid!" She roared, then she jumped off of the steeple and flew across the street, ready to attack Finana.

Before I started running, I felt a wave of healing wash over me, and that was the single greatest feeling I've had in the last five minutes. Wounds closed, bruises faded, and the ice shards dislodged themselves from my body. Although not completely healed, it was a great start. I held my Halberd at the ready, then charged at the dragon, and I felt a lot faster with my strikes than I had been. My first strike went under the dragons tail, but the second strike stabbed right into the back of the dragon's leg. The flames licked around the scales as blood spilled from the wound, and Mahila roared in anger and pain.

She spun with a roar, and by the greatest strokes of luck possible, I dodged the dragon's strike. She snapped her jaw at me, trying to tear me limb from limb, but I dodged, right as she swiped her claws, trying to rip my armor. I dodged the first strike, then, the second one scraped against my armor, sending sparks flying across the snow. She roared yet again, then, from the top of the building, there came Ormgaul, with both daggers drawn, falling like an assassin. Both of the daggers sunk into the dragon's back, and Mahila screamed in pain as she thrashed about, trying to throw Ormgaul off of her back, but he held on tight as he twisted the dagger around inside of her. The kid REALLY knew how to cause pain, and for the first time, I was pretty thankful.

I backed away, trying to decide my next move as three darts from BahnBarr raced out of the steeple, all of them aimed for Mahila. Two of the magical missiles struck her like bombs, exploding and tearing away chunks of her flesh and scales, while the third one struck her in the side of the face, sending her jaw careening against the side of the shop Finana was in. She screamed on the inside, but Mahila looked at all of us, hatred burning in her eyes.

"ENOUGH!!!" She screamed.

She spun around to the steeple of the church, and she blasting a large stream of her ice breath, blasting the top of the steeple to shreds, and I watched helplessly as BahnBarr tumbled straight out of the tower. She hit the ground hard, smacking her head against some lumber, and she stopped moving.

"NO!!"

Mahila looked at me with a sick grin, and she bucked Ormgaul off of her back, sending him sprawling into the snow.

"You idiots really thought you could stop me!!" She yelled. "You have done nothing except delay your own deaths!!"

She looked straight into the sky and screamed in draconic, and the only words I caught were "Tiamat, heal me!" And, with a horrifying smile, a lot of her wounds started closing. Not all of them healed completely, but for the most part, she was healed, and she leveled an angry gaze at all of us, before we took off running. Haneen booked it for BahnBarr to get her on her feet, Ormgaul tucked and rolled behind a building, and I ran into an alleyway as Mahila chased after me. She snapped her jaws, just barely missing my head, and she slammed into the wall of the alleyway. She climbed and perched above the alleyway, swiping her claws to try and get a good swipe at me. While the first strike was parried off my helmet, the second strike cut all the way across my back, and it exploded in pain. I screamed as loud as I could, trying to alleviate some of the pain, but it was no use as Mahila mocked me from above.
