Finally, I stood up in the light, and BahnBarr and Finana came out of the cave, and we all collapsed on the ground, kneeling and sitting in the grass as we all tried to recover. I breathed in and out, gripping my wounds, and BahnBarr groaned, leaning her back against a tree as she examined her badly hurt leg. There were slashes, bites, and cuts all up and down her leg, and she winced as she looked.
"Hey Finana, you still got that med kit?" She huffed.
"Yeah, just gimme a second." She said, then, with a final deep breath, she walked over to her.
Finana began bandaging the wounds, but suddenly, halfway through, she touched a part of BahnBarr's leg, and she cried out.
"Uh oh," Finana said.
"Well, that's not a good thing to hear," I said. "Whats the uh oh for?"
"I think her hip is out of its socket."
"I think I'd feel that!" BahnBarr said, wincing as tears streamed out of her eyes.
"You're high on action. You won't feel anything shy of being cut in half or just killed. Trust me, be glad you're high on action. Otherwise, you would be crying."
"I am crying!"
"Well, you'd be crying a lot more." She said, then looked over at me. "Listen, there's a way to fix this, but you're not gonna like it."
"Wh-what?"
"We gotta pop that joint back into place." She said. "Trevon, can you hold her down for me?"
"Wha-what??" BahnBarr nearly screamed. "Wait, I don't-"
I grabbed her wrists wordlessly, and Finana kneeled over her thighs as BahnBarr pleaded with us, nearly crying from the pain. I looked away from her, trying to ignore the screaming, but suddenly, there was a loud and sickening POP, and BahnBarr let loose a blood curdling scream, before going completely slack. I jumped off of her, nearly freaking out.
"Whoa whoa whoa, is she dead?"
"No, she just passed out from the pain." Finana stated. "We gotta get her back on the ship. Mind watching over us as I finish bandaging her?"
"Sure. Need me to look away?"
She nodded.
"The damage is pretty....private. Just be respectful."
I nodded, then turned and stared around at the forest and the cave as Finana finished bandaging BahnBarr. She stood, wiping her hands free of BahnBarr's blood, and sighed deeply.
"Mind helping me carry her to the ship?"
"Yeah, I got her. You scout ahead."
I grabbed her limp body and carefully slung her over my shoulder, and we made our way back to the ship, keeping an eye on the forest surrounding us, but thankfully, there wasn't anything around us as we made our way back to the airship. We both boarded it, and I set BahnBarr down in the cot below, with Finana kneeling by her side and taking her temperature.
"Is she burning up?"
"No, thank the gods above. Her temperature is rather normal. She just needs some rest." She said.
"Got it. I'll pilot us back to Westgate if you want me to."
"Please. That would be helpful."
"Alright, leave it right to me."
* * * * * * * * * * * * *
As we hovered over the city of Westgate, I slowly brought the ship closer and closer to the hangers, and Finana came up the stairs, wiping her brow with her forearm, and I noticed that she had some blood on her hands.
