Part 10

I love you in good times, as well as bad times.

The last few days Cece hasn't been feeling well, he told me he didn't think things would happen so fast for him, Cece told me to call Dyland and ask them to come and get Manny. He doesn't want him to see him like this, I begged Cece to go to the hospital, he said no there's nothing they can do, I told him they can give him something for the pain.

He said he already called his doctor, he's upping his pain medicine, he's sending someone over to give it to him, he sent Liz to get ice cream for Manny, Cece again please go to the hospital, he said no just help him get through this, he reached his hand out and I held it, tears went down my face, he said once the medicine comes, he'll be okay. Go and check on Manny don't let him come up here and see him like this, I kissed his head and left the room, I went out back and played with Manny and Milo. He asked if Cece were coming out to play with them too, I told him he's resting, he said his daddy is always sleeping.

Twenty minutes later Liz came back with the ice cream, I told Manny to stay out here while I go see how daddy Cece is doing, Liz said she'll stay out here with Manny. I went into the house and the doorbell rang, I opened the door, its Dyland and EJ they came in, they asked me how's Cece. 

I said not so good, and he won't go to the hospital he's in a lot of pain, I asked them to go out back with Manny and asked Liz to pack Manny's things for a few days, Cece doesn't want him to see him like that. Dyland and EJ gave me a group hug, Dyland said they have my back whatever I need just ask, I told him for now just take Manny home with them, EJ said they'll take him to visit his pony, he'll like that, I told them thanks and started to go upstairs.

The doorbell rang, Dyland told me just go up and be with Cece, he'll answer the door, I told him it must be the nurse the doctor sent here to give Cece his meds. I went upstairs, bae was crying he said it hurts so bad, I told him the nurse is here just hold on, Dyland and the nurse came into the room, she introduced herself, and started setting things up to give bae his pain meds.

She asked is there someplace she can wash her hands, I showed her to the bathroom, a few minutes later she came back wearing gloves, she set up the IV, and needles, she gave bae the meds. I asked her what that is, she said the doctor gave him Fentanyl, Dyland said that's some strong opioid, the doorbell rang, the nurse said that should be the doctor, Dyland went down and answered the door.

I just watched Cece, I felt helpless seeing him in so much pain, and there was nothing I could really do for him, Dyland and the doctor came in, he checked Cece, he said the pain medicine should take affect soon. I asked should he be in the hospital; I've never seen Cece in this much pain. He said it's best that he's home, there's not much more they can do there, but make him as comfortable as they can. I told him I want a twenty-four-hour nursing staff to be here for Cece, I don't care what it cost, the doctor said he can arrange that.

The doctor said this nurse will stay with him, she'll make sure there's no side effects from the medication, Dyland said he's going outside with Manny and tell EJ what's going on, he left the room.

The doctor checked him again, he said Cece's vitals are stable, the meds are working, he said Cece might talk out of his head because of the meds, after a while he'll settle down, he told the nurse to call him if there's any change. I showed him downstairs and asked him is there anything I can do, he said just get some rest myself, he asked me, have I been sleeping, I told him not in the last few days, I've been with Cece, he told me when Cece is asleep try and sleep myself, he left.

Liz asked me how's Cece doing, I told her the medicine has him resting, she said Manny is asking for me, I went out back and told him he's going with his uncle's there going to take him to see his pony, he said okay, can he see his daddy Cece before he goes. I told him he's asleep now, he said he's always sleeping, I told him remember daddy Cece isn't feeling well, but he can see him only for a minute, I took him in the house and let him see Cece.
