A month and a day. Epilogue.
I'm having lunch with Dexter, he asked me how's things going with me and Pierre, I told him we see each other almost every day, and if we don't see each other, we talk every night, we've gotten even closer. We've learned so much about each other, all we would do is kiss, no sex and I'm okay with that, when it's right it will happen. Pierre sometimes stays the night with us, he sleeps in the guest room. Dexter asked me would I rather have him in my bed, I told him I'm not going to lie, I wanted to go in there and just be with him.
I was telling Dyland something I said about Cecil and Pierre didn't say anything, Dexter asked me what was said about Cecil? I told him how Cecil and I did something, but Pierre doesn't do it like that, Dexter said he won't ask what it was, he told me to listen to what I'm saying I have to see what Pierre is doing and not compare him to Cecil, that hurts being compared to someone's ex or late partner.
I told him I never thought about that, and I do talk about Cecil a lot, I'll have to make it up to Pierre he's been good at letting me vent about Cecil. I told Dex I have to get going, let's all have dinner soon, he said he'll call me, I got up and left, I saw a flower shop across the street, I went in and got flowers.
I walked to my car and headed to Alexanders, when I got there, I went straight to Pierre's office, his receptionist said I can go in, I knocked on his door and walked in, he smiled at me, I gave him the flowers, he asked what I did. I asked him what he meant by that, he said when men buy flowers, they did something wrong, but sometimes they did something right, which is it for me.
I told him actually I did something wrong, and I'm sorry I keep bringing Cecil up, and it's our time, he said it's okay, I told him no it's not, as of now no more talk about Cecil I'm with him now.
Pierre said it takes a while to get over someone that you really love, he understands, I said still no more talking about Cecil, does he forgive me, he said of course he does, and he's planning something special for us tonight. Dyland and EJ are taking Manny for the weekend, and he even got Liz to be with her sister, we can be together all weekend, just us. I told him okay, it will be nice that it's just us.
Pierre walked over to me and kissed me, he said oh he has something for me too, he was going to wait until he got to my house, but since I'm here he'll give it to me now, he walked to his desk and opened it, he got a box that's wrapped up he asked me to open it.
I did and its condoms, he said he's ready for us to go even further with our relationship, that's if I'm ready, I told him I am, it was hard sleeping just down the hall from him when he spends the night. Babe said it was hard for him too, now he's ready, I kissed him and said I'll see him later, he said he hopes he bought the right size condoms, I said I'm sure they'll be fine.
I kissed him again and left, I walked down the hall and said yes! people were looking at me, I didn't care, I'm going to make love to Pierre, I got on the elevator and just couldn't stop smiling, and something else Cecil hasn't come back since we got stuck in that elevator. I got down to the parking garage, and got in my car, I went straight home, when I got there, I went straight into the kitchen, I said it smells good in here. Liz told me don't go in her pots, Pierre asked her to make a special dinner so I can wait until tonight.
She said she'll be gone all weekend so after tonight, dinner will be whatever I make for myself, and don't mess her kitchen up. She said Dyland already came and got Manny's things and Milo; he'll pick the baby up from school. Liz looked at me and said she knows what we're going to be doing while she and Manny are gone, back in her day people didn't shack up they got married before having sex. I said Liz you never been married, so is she telling me she's never had sex, she told me to mind my business, or she'll get the broom and use it on me, she's sure once Manny gets older, she'll be using it on him, boys will be boys. Meaning there always up to something, no spoiling Manny, I told her that's too late she already spoils him, she said oh hush.
