You're scaring him.

(Cecil)

I woke up and James isn't in bed, I got up and put my robe on and went to the balcony doors and let the warm breeze into the room, it's another Savannah warm day. I looked down and saw Liz setting the table, she looked up at me and said if we want breakfast, we better get out there, I told her we'll be down soon. And while I'm at it wake that boy up, he sleeps too much, he should be running around out here getting fresh air, I told her I will.

With Liz, I didn't know if she works for us or is it the other way around, I'm still working on her with Manuel, well she and James, when we first brought him here two months ago, he seemed on board with having him here, now I don't know what's up with him.

I walked back into the room and in the bathroom and got freshened up, I wonder if James went for an early morning run, I should've asked Liz has she seen him. I walked out of the bathroom and put something on, and I walked out of the room towards Manuel's room that's where I found James just standing in the doorway looking at Manuel. I looked in and he's sound asleep.

I kissed James and said good morning my love, I see he's checking on our boy, James said he's not our boy, not until he can find out more about him, it seems strange that he doesn't know what his father's name is.

Babe he's only eleven, from what we know about him, he doesn't even know who his father is, remember he was a baby when that drunk of a man left.

(James)

Okay that's true but he still should know his own last name, I think he's hiding something from us, and I'm going to find out what it is, I walked into the room and shook Manuel, I told him it's time to wake up and I want answers right now, Cece told me I'm scaring him, I know last night he had a bad dream and he had to stay with Manuel until he went back to sleep.

And I'd just like to know what he was dreaming about, Manuel just looked at me, Cece told him it's time he got up and washed up for breakfast, I left the room somethings not right about that kid, at first, he grew on me, but now I don't think he's telling us everything about himself or his father.

I went into our room and took my running clothes off and got into the shower, if Manuel won't tell us anything I'll have to find out for myself, Cece is getting to attached to him and setting himself up for a hurt, if I'm wrong I'll open my arms to the kid, but if I'm right he has to go.

Bae got in the shower with me, I asked him did he think we could possibly have sex some time in this century, we haven't had sex since Manuel got here, he's always with him when he has those bad dreams and I just end up going to sleep.

Does he even tell you what he dreams about, it has to be something bad the way he wakes up screaming?

(Cece)

Not yet, but I think it has something to do with what he told us, about people taking him to a bad place, it's almost as if he's been involved in child trafficking or something, I think people used him for sex trade, maybe even his own father, maybe that's why he doesn't want us to find him, did you ever think about that bae?

(James)

Babe the boy needs help, and if we do that, it could mean a lot of questions about Manuel that we can't even answer, you as an attorney know we have no legal right to him, he could end up in the system or worse be sent back to wherever he came from. Cece said that's why I have to find out about Manuels mother, as well as his father. because he's not letting anyone take Manuel away from us.

See this is what I was afraid of, you've gotten to attached to him, and if we can't keep him, you're going to be heart broken, he said at first, I was onboard with keeping Manuel, what's changed or is it that I don't want kids around period. I didn't say that, but he's not ours, Cece said for now he is, he asked me am I jealous of the relationship he has with Manuel, is that what this is about.
