12. Jealousy

JEEVIKA

"Jeevika", he said.

I looked up into his face. "You always look beautiful, no one else is prettier than you for me in this entire world",he spoke softly looking into my eyes. I felt a sudden goosebump.

How come his words just effected me? My cheeks turned red out of blush and I was about to turn back to stand up and leave but I felt him holding my wrist and stopping me, "Sorry na I was trying to flirt with my friend", he said.

I turned back looked at his face and said, " No need to pull such stunts infront of me". The next second we both burst into laughter.

I had decided in my mind that I'll be a good friend to him after I felt how much he respects me and my presence.

It felt good to share with him about my family and he also shared about his family and friend. I see how much he respects bonds and relations.

He was showing me photos of his last trip with his friends to Meghalaya. He told me that he likes mountains and greeneries.

I too am a great lover of mountains.

I suddenly asked him, "Can we visit some mountain area?".

He looked up at me and said, "Sure where ever you want to we'll go together." I saw his lightened up eyes after he realized that I was ready to travel and see places with him.

"Mussoorie?", I asked.

"That's a good place, can I keep my choice?", I said.

"Sure", she replied.

"Do you like Kashmir?",he asked.

Oh my God Kashmir has always been my dream place to visit. Me and my friends made a plan to visit Kashmir once but it failed.

On listening Kashmir from his mouth I literally jumped up in excitement and said, "YES YES very much, please let's visit Kashmir".

He smiled and said," Relax, I'll right away book the tickets".

We finalized the dates and booked the flight of three days from today.

He was showing me places that we can visit in Kashmir.

In the middle of our conversation his phone rang and he started to talk about one of his client's case.

I was scrolling when I didn't realise when I slipped into a deep slumber.

ARHAAN

I was discussing a case with my client when I found that she slept in the sitting position, her head lying against the hoverboard.

I put the call on hold and placed her head on the pillow making her sleep in a comfortable position.

She looks so innocent while sleeping. I got distracted by her beauty and asked my client to call me later.

I rested my body beside her and noticed that her phone was unlocked. She was scrolling through photos. I picked up her phone and started looking the photos.

After seeing good amount of photos from her gallery when I was just about to keep the phone my eyes fell on a folder named 'us'. It had the photos of Jeevika with some boy.

I opened the folder and saw that she was so happy in those photos. I found the screenshots of their chats. His name was Rudra.

I saw the exchanged messages that were from her birthday. He had written a big paragraph for her with sweet things about her. I slided through more photos and I found some photos in which they were extremely closed and it made me jealous.

I could not bear more. I felt sudden discomfort looking at the photos. Clearly I felt angry seeing my wife with her ex that too this close. I closed the gallery and kept the phone on its place.

I got up from my place and out of anger rushed to my car and drove real fast away from her house.

I didn't inform anyone. I just wanted to be .alone.

Their photos were constantly revolving around in my head. I did not wanted to talk to anyone. I felt devastated. I wanted to find this Rudra boy out and kill him for being so close to my wife.

Time went by. It was late in the night. I checked my phone it was 1am.

There were 15missed calls from Jeevika and 5text messages asking where am I?

I didn't wanted to talk to her.

I couldn't think anything. I dialled my best friend Shourya .

He picked up the call and asked, " Why are you calling so late, is everything alright?".

"I don't know", I replied.

"hmm tell me what happened, why are you tensed",he said.

Shourya is my childhood friend. I share my every problem with him. I never lie to him.

He listens to me calmly in every situation and suggests me whats the best.

I explained him everything what I felt on seeing those photos and screenshots.

He listened to my every word carefully and then said, " First mistake Aruu, why did you looked into Bhabhi's personal folders, if she wanted to show you the pictures she must have shown you earlier itself, you should respect her privacy too".

I accepted my mistake.

"Secondly, everyone has a past. You too had a girlfriend. Weren't you that close to her? Didn't you two had photos of you both together and didn't you two went extremely close?", he said.

"Now tell me Was Bhabhi more closer to her ex in the picture than you and Aarushi went close when you stayed together?", he said.

I realized my mistake. "Moreover Aruu you should have not left your wife alone at this hour of time.. Imagine if she goes away without informing you till so late and doesn't answer your calls", he continued.

I immediately said, "OK bye, thank you, sleep now".

I rushed back to my car and in full speed started driving towards her home.

When I reached her home I dialled her number and she picked the call within one ring.

"Where are you Arhaan I'm so tensed, have you seen what time it is, are you okay , Why were you not answering my calls" so many questions were hit upon me all it once.

I liked the fact that she is still awake for me. I had thought she must have slept.

"I am standing infront of the main gate please come and open the gate", I said.
