13. ~Alone~

JEEVIKA

I've been really worried about him. When I woke up in the evening, I realised that I've slept while using my phone. I got up, washed my face and searched for Arhaan. He wasn't in the room.

I went downstairs to look for him but he wasn't present there. I looked for his car, even that was missing from its place. I thought maybe he had some emergency and he didn't wanted to disturb my sleep that's why he must have left without informing me.

I spent some time with my family. It was the time for dinner. Papa was asking for Arhaan.

I tried calling him a few times but he didn't answer the phone.

I told everyone to have the dinner and that I'll have dinner after Arhaan arrives. It was past 11, I called him again but there was no answer from the other side.

I took out a random book from the shelf and started reading it. I found it the best way to pass my time. After some time passed I checked the watch and it showed 12:15.

It was very late. Moreover it was getting cold outside. I called him again but there was no answer from him.

I didn't even had any of his friends or relatives number so that I could call them and ask about his whereabouts.

I called him almost 25times and texted him too but the message wasn't seen by him.

It was 1am. My heart was beating fastly out of nervousness.

I decided to go to the balcony and wait for him. After few minutes I got a call from him.

"I am standing infront of the main gate please come and open the gate", he said.

I took a sigh of relief but still was worried whether he is fine or not.

I ran downstairs to open the door. He was standing right infront of me. He came inside.

Out of concern I went near him, held his hand and asked, "Where were you? Why weren't you answering my phone? Do you even realize what time it is? Are you fine? Is something wrong? Answer me na".

He held my arms and said, "How will I answer Jeevika, you're shooting so many questions on me that to all at once... Relax Am fine".

I took a sigh of relief.

"Where were you?", I asked.

"I wanted to be alone for sometime.. Am sorry I should have informed you", he replied still holding my arms.

"I was so worried, you were not even answering my calls", I said.

"Am sorry maaf kardijiye hume please", he said making a puppy face.

I nodded my head. "Aap soyi kyu nahi abhi tak?",he asked. (Why didn't you sleep)

"I was waiting for you", I replied. He smiled listening to my reply.

"Kuch khaaya aapne?", he asked softly. (Did you eat something?)

I shook my head. "Chaliye, humne bhi kuch nahi khaaya bhook lagi hogi aapko bhi", he said directing me towards the dining room. (Come on, I haven't eaten anything either. You must be hungry.)

"You go to the room, I will bring it there, otherwise mom and dad will get disturbed.", I said.

He nodded and went towards the room.

I took two plates of food for us and went to the room. He was sitting on the sofa. I kept the plates on the table and sat beside him.

"What happened today will never happen again, I apologise", he said looking into my eyes.

I gave him a little smile.

"We've to leave tomorrow morning, bags pack karlijiyega",he said.

"Okay", I said with a sad face.

We ate the food together.

Then he slept on the sofa and I went to sleep on the bed and we shifted to our respective dreamlands.

ARHAAN

In the morning I woke up to the light of the sun on my face. I saw the time it was 8am.

I got up and found Jeevika was still sleeping. I really felt bad that she had to worry because of my childish behaviour yesterday.

I also felt happy because she waited for me till late night.

I decided to let her sleep for some more time as she slept quite late the previous night.

I went upstairs to the terrace after doing my morning business. I love greenery and her terrace had so many plants surrounded by. I walked and listened to music for some good minutes there.

I went downstairs and found that Jeevika was not in her place. The bedsheet looked arranged.

I packed my things in the suitcase. Jeevika came to call me for the breakfast.

We had our breakfast together with her family. I informed her that we'll leave by 10:30am.

She had already packed up the bags. We were ready to leave.

I touched everyone's feet. She was meeting every member one by one. She started crying.

TEARS IN HER EYES , I don't know why but I cannot see them, yet I wanted her to let it out as it will be only months after that she'll get to meet them again.

I went to get the car. She came outside. I opened the passenger seat's door for her.

She was still crying and her hiccups started. I held her hand and made her sit on the seat.

I bid bye to everyone and hugged Ayaansh and Aadi. I went to seat myself on the driver's seat.

Finally we left from there. After moving few metres from there, I gave her water to drink and calmed her down.

She was silent the entire time. We reached home after half an hour almost.

I opened the door for her and helped her come out. Her eyes had turned red due to crying.

We went inside and I signalled Pihu to take Jeevika with her and cheer her up.

She took Jeevika with her and I went to my room.
