28. Such a child !

Days passed by real fast. Our days were full of love and care. Care from his side because he didn't let me have something cold after that incident and kept utmost care of my health.

We have resumed our respective works. He has been busy in his case which according to him is a big job to handle right now. I've been too busy in my work. He used to pick and drop me everyday. At night, we used to talk for sometime and then he would again get busy into his work. I used to sleep on his lap peacefully and wake up every morning in his arms.

Annu visits us frequently. To be honest, it's her who makes my days good apart from Arhaan. She is really a carefree girl. She even stayed at our home 4-5 times last month.

One month passed by and May came.

Summers!

I had almost forgotten that Arhaan's birthday was on it's way until Arjun reminded me this morning about him. It's my first birthday with him and I need to make this one special for him.

But how will I be able to do that if he keeps himself busy in his work day and night?

I was thinking all this laying down on my bed when Arhaan entered the room and jumped on the bed to sit beside me.

"Were you thinking about me?".

"Shut up! fursat mil gayi aapko,humare pass aane ki?".

"Hume kab nahi aate aapke paas kahiye?", he said and kept his head on my lap. He held my hand and kept it on his hair.

I caressed it with my hand.

"Bahar chale aaj?",he asked. I opened my eyes widely and asked, "aur aapka case?".

"I won it!", he said and looked into my eyes proudly.

"Oh my God Arhaan REALLY?".

I know how hard he was working on this case. Day and night. Sleepless nights. I was really happy after hearing this. I bent my head and kissed on his forehead.

"I'm so happy Arhaan".

"I know".

"How?".

"Looking at your face!".

I smiled. "Kidhar lekar chal rahe hai aaj aap hume?".

"Jidhar hamari biwi jaana pasand kare".

"I'll go and get ready, you decide", I said and got up to take out my clothes. I took out a kurta set but Arhaan said, "Aaj saree pehaniye na Jeevika",so I kept it back inside and took out a white net saree for me which had a border of flowers carved on it with a pink blouse.

I got ready and came out. Arhaan was also ready in his formals. My handsome husband!

I went near him and stood infront of mirror. He hugged me from behind and said, "My wife is looking so pretty". He turned me towards him and cupped my face. He placed his lips over mine and kissed me deeply.

I did a light makeup and then we headed outside. He opened the passenger seat's door for me and he placed himself on driver's seat. After some good minutes, we stopped the car.

Parikrama ! It's a rooftop restaurant. I've heard about it but never visited.

He opened the door for me and escorted me outside. He took my hand in his hand and we entered inside. We took our place and really as I've heard about it- it's a really beautiful place.

We ordered the food for us and we started chatting. "Did you like the place?"

"Yes.. it's beautiful", I replied.

He took my hand and locked his hand into mine. "I'm sorry baby. I know I wasn't able to give you enough time. Trust me this was a really important case for me".

"I know, you don't have to say it", I replied while caressing his hand with my thumb.

"Ab toh thoda free hai na aap?", I asked.

"Yes, all yours", he smiled.

We chatted about random things. While we were talking, a girl came and stood infront of our table. Arhaan looked at her with wide eyes and his held on my hand became tighter.

"Hii Aruu!", she said. "Hi", he replied in a cold tone.

'Aruu'

"Long time haan?", she said and in response Arhaan nodded his head.

"Heard you got married?"..

Arhaan showed her our locked hands and said, "Yes. Meet my wife Jeevika Shrivastava!".

I smiled and greeted her with my eyes. She gave a smile in return.

"You still visit this place, I thought you stopped coming here after we....",Arhaan cut her off in the middle and said, "Visiting after a long time, with my lifelong partner this time".

She smiled as if she was fake-smiling and said, "Enjoy you both, I'll take a leave". Arhaan just nodded and she left.

As soon as she left, Arhaan breathed a sigh of relief.

"Who was she?", I asked.

He looked towards me and said, "My.. ex-girlfriend!". I nodded my head.

She was beautiful ! Not at all like me, curvy-chubby.

Waiter came with our food and served us. We then had our dinner silently as Arhaan didn't looked in the mood to talk. Then we headed back to our home.

We went inside our room and I changed my clothes. Arhaan was already on the bed. I finished my skin care routine and went towards the bed. I switched off the lights and lay down on the bed.

I was thinking about her ex when I felt him snuggling into me from behind. He kept his head against mine and said, "Baby". "Hmm", I hummed.

"I'm sorry. I spoiled our dinner.", he said in a low voice.

I turned myself towards him and we hugged each other tightly.

"It's okay. I understand!", I muttered against his chest.

He separated me from him and cupped my face with his hands to make me look into his eyes.

"What did I do to get a wife like you? You didn't even question me about anything ! Why so?".

"You answered me earlier itself that she was your ex-gf".

"No more questions?".

"Everyone has a past Arhaan. I understand, I too had one and you know about it right?".

"So what will you do if your ex comes infront of you someday?".

"I'll talk to him friendly, ask about his whereabouts, and also introduce you to him", I answered and continued, "That depends Arhaan on how your ex treated you when you were with him\her"..."Mine was good to me.. you won't believe but he was the one who messaged me on our wedding night to move on and start a fresh new".

He looked with a 'really' look towards me. I nodded my head in response. "What was her name?", I asked.

"uh- Aarushi".

"Was she nice to you, when you were together?".

"She cheated on me. I caught her red handed that too- in a semi-nude condition over another boy".

This time I looked towards him with a 'really?' look on my face and he smiled and nodded his head.

"Then she deserves your cold tone and silence", I said and laughed.

After a long silence between us he muttered, "I love you baby". "Me too", I replied back.

He looked towards me and said, "What's 'me too' I want my complete reply!".

"You're such a child".

He snuggled into my arms and said, "Yes I'm. And only you know that!".
