Amelia came over , having escaping her mother  for a lazy afternoon.
I was so happy that she did, for i was growing so bored in this house. Nothing to do , nowhere to go. I was halfway of starting to build training grounds , when she walked in with a plan - picnic. She even brought her own basket and already prepared food. Looking so proud i could not say no.
Starving was also the second reason.
Just as i was about to walk outside a familiar magic passed through the air, followed by a thump. Amelia jumped up as a package dropped from the ceiling and landed on to the coffee table in the living room.
- I will never get used to that. She muttered and i backed up picking it up . Abrasax's  official seal was on top of it and i knew it's important.
- Who's it from? She questioned and came by my side inspecting the ordinary looking box.
- A friend. Go ahead i'll catch up with you.
- You sure? I can stay and wait. Amelia said but i shook my head. Can't exactly open private correspondence with her here.
- It's okay go and pack a bottle of rum would ya? I said and winked at her.
- Your drinking habits are worse than Rebekah's . She muttered making me laugh and walked out closing the door.
I took a seat on the couch  placing the box down in front of me and lift my hand above it letting my magic through.
- Carnage Avalen Abrasax. I whispered as the black shadows coiled around the package and the seal melted.
A stack of documents stood inside allongside with a letter.
" Predator
Your presence is needed in the East. Conflict has risen along both borders . Details needed on who initiated it and why. Methods of obtaining the information is up to you.
21st of october 11:00 pm . Location Hadara outskirts . Mary's tea shop.
Always yours Cadavier "
The letter said . I smiled at the familiar nickname. I wondered where he is sometimes. The creature that saved my life.

When i hit 16 our family's lawyer  delivered a similar box to me. That one was sealed with my father's insignia .alongside with instructions , when it should be passed down to me , in case of his death. I remember crying for hours , before i mustered enough courage to open it. My father even in his death planned for everything, i wish my mother did... for i had nothing of her .
The box back then contained records of the Abrasaxes dealings. Anything from bank accounts and vassal properties , to politicians we payed off and military deals we are still up-keeping.
A map of the entire Abrasax territory in Amaru and it's checkpoints , alongside with rules and instructions on how to manage them.
Names of old Alliances and debts from other families. Generic information on how to rule the house Abrasax and my father's ring.
" Long live Carnage Avalen Abrasax . Ruller of Abrasax house and descendant of the old blood" was all his note said . All documents were sealed in my blood , making it impossible to read or even touch from anyone else. They remained in my father's study home.
After that i followed his instructions, dealing with issues concerning my name and house . Mostly military assignments consisting of me executing missions of various sorts. I made sure i had a secure network of people , who took care of delivering the news for me, news that others overlooked . Elijah suspected, but didn't comment on it . He had other tasks to carry as a part of the family and i had my own. They rarely crossed.
Skimming through the pages i received i quickly realised they are reports . Missing people headers. All from the east border. A border we shared with wizards. City named Hadara , which holds a vast population. Creatures of all kinds and wizards . The only city of its kind in The wizarding world. Having any sort of a conflict in a place, where multiple species reside, is never a good thing, for common ground is so fragile there. This is bad news.
Putting the pages back in the box and quickly took out my wand i muttered a locking spell, to make sure no one can open this but me.
Over the last few weeks i have been using the wand more often. Mostly for small spells that required precision. My magic was too unstable for that so it helped.
Looking back towards the clock I realised half an hour had passed . Shit she is going to kill me. I cursed out grabbing my wand and rushed for the door.
