"Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven" Matthew 6:1.
"So, glad to have everyone here for this meeting today! Hopefully, we can share some ideas and brainstorm together on how to make a great performance for the Christmas show!"
Back in the familiar recording studio, here around the table sits the producers of Oasis: Soyeon, Yoongi, and Bangchan. Along with Jungkook, Taehyung and Namjoon - and also to the other side: Jimin and Taemin with their manager, Seokjin.
Yep, their manager.
Could imagine the surprise Jungkook had on his face when he was informed of this, since as far as his memory goes - Seokjin was serving him and his parents at a restaurant not too long ago.
How can a server align with being a manager? Doesn't make sense.
Anyways, today was agreed for their meeting on approaching the show with everyone involved - such as production, stage, all that stuff. They already had their meeting with the stage directors about the vision they had for the show, now it's moving onto music production - which is where Oasis will take charge with music, since they're already well known for that. Meanwhile, Taemin and Jimin's agency, Angel Entertainment, will be involved for visual on photoshoots and interviews down the line.
After Jimin's debut on stage, he has been gaining recognition. His collab stage with Taemin definitely has a hit, well not big enough to go into the important charts, but his album was trending for a while on social media.
So, this collab not only serves as a nice charity event for the kids, it's also a method to introduce both Jimin and Karma to broader audience - since Jungkook and Taemin are already a big deal in the agency. It's a smart tactic with both sides winning in this case.
After the small altercation the last time Jungkook saw both Jimin and Taemin, this time around was as though nothing happened. They came in, being polite with their greets and remained in professional mode since then. They'd take notes, Taemin being more vocal on ideas and expressing himself than Jimin, and it wasn't quite as tense as one would assume.
They don't tend to goofy off as much as Karma would with adding subtle comments here and there, and their seriousness is quite appreciated.
Unlike the other times Jungkook has seen Jimin and gets physically riled up by the mere sight of him, this time was different.
Not exactly in a pleasant way.
All he could think about in his head as he watches him, listening and nodding while taking notes, is how different he's going to be by the time the showcase arrives. By the time Jungkook is finished with him so to say.
His faith can be easily destroyed, and everyone will see that this whole act was just a facade.
An image.
A downfall just as quick as it started.
"So as decided, the song that the four of you will be singing will be Hallelujah, the Pentatonix version," Yoongi says in his familiar monotonous voice, passing the packets out to them on the table with the lyrics, "We have done the line distribution, in that way everyone gets an equal amount of screentime and time to sing. We also have come to the consensus to have Taemin start the song, since it's already a Christian melody and it'll be appropriate to show his face first due to his fame in the genre."
Jungkook just barely heard everything that they had said since his eyes scans over the lines, scowling over the lyrics before his gaze falls towards his lines.
