If Jungkook was nervous and relentless for the red carpet just a few hours ago, how he's feeling now is no comparison to how he felt walking in front of the flashes of cameras from the paparazzies. The thing is, he's even alone right now, not even around many people, and yet he feels his heart racing uncontrollably in his chest. Goosebumps blazed through his skin as he dresses up in front of the mirror, looking at his reflections mocking back to him.

A voice he never was able to silence before.

And it's still haunting him.

Going back to your old ways Raven?

Of course you are, and you always will be.

I'm better.

Not for long.

Jungkook flinches to the internal voices in his head, shaking it away with a hand gripping his hair. Flashes and giggles flutter his mind to when he used to be in the world interlaced with psychotic laughter and a fogged mind from the drugs in his body. A familiar sensation that'd make him feel a single moment of infinite, even though his mind was gone. A nostalgic emotion that he has tried to convince himself that it's in his head, and he needs to do better.

But part of him knows that he doesn't want to do better, and he wants to go back - hoping the consequences will be different.

But he knows nothing will change. IF he goes back to his old ways, it'll have the same outcome: Loneliness, depression, his body collapsing itself.

Then why are the memories so sweet?

Jungkook only takes deep breathes to calm himself down.

Tonight isn't about him, it's about Taemin.

He's experienced in this, Jungkook knows how to manage himself at a party and he knows what is expected.

He knows what to do, and because of that experience, it'll serve him as a pillar for those who don't.

He has to be the backbone for Taehyung and Jimin.

He can do this.

"Hey, you ready?"

Woosung knocks on the door, snapping Jungkook out of his own head.

He can do this.

Jungkook releases a deep breath and goes to the door, opening it to reveal Woosung. He's not going to the party, mainly because he'll be their designated driver once they need to be picked up, so he'll be on standby.

Also in the invitation, it only stated the names of the three, Woosung isn't included.

They must go alone.

Woosung eyed over Jungkook's attire, smiling to the simple black button up shirt and dressed pants, making him look presentable yet casual.

Meanwhile in the living room stood Taehyung and Jimin, looking appropriate in their own style. Taehyung has a blazer over his shoulders with skinny jeans, while Jimin has on a silk green button up shirt with dressed pants.

The two look good, Taehyung seemed just as his regular self from the past, but he's definitely much more covered up.

But Jungkook looks intently at Jimin, and he immediately took note to keep an eye on him tonight. He looks good, innocently good.
