~Blair's POV~
"Listen I know you're upset but you have to eat something",I said to Johnson.

"No, I just want to be left alone",he said kicking some loose rocks.

I let out a heavy sigh,

"Okay I guess I can't force you to, but jack wouldn't want you to do this", I said before walking back to the rest of the group.

"He refused again",I said
frustrated.

"He has to eat at some point or he's going to die",jc stated.

"I think that's his goal. His best friend just died, he's depressed",nash said sitting down on the edge of the sidewalk.

Nash was right, Johnson has a reason to be as upset as he is. He has completely blocked us out. He never talks to us unless it's to tell us to go away.When we walk he drags on far behind us, and when we do stop he walks over somewhere he can be alone, which is what he's doing right now.

"We should probably get moving. We're almost there",Makayla said catching all of our attention.

Makayla is taking us to the place she was before she got captured by the men.

She said there are other people there, some of them are adults.

"Come on Johnson were leaving",I yelled.

He groggily made his way over to us then we stared out journey again.

"How much further",cameron asked Makayla.

"We should be there by tonight",she said.

"Are you sure this place is safe",jc questioned.

"I'm positive"she said looking at the ground.

"So if it's so safe then why are you here",matt said.

"I got into a huge argument with one of the other girls there, and I decided to take a walk, and then those men captured me",Makayla said.

"Well I'm glad we found you then",I smiled.

"Me too",she chuckled.

All the boys were playing and shoving each other around as Makayla and I walked behind them and laughed.

"So you and matt",Makayla quietly said.

"What about me and matt",i laughed.

"Are you two together",she smirked.

My face heated from her question,

"No, why would you think that",I said.

"I don't know, I think he's really attractive. Just wanted to make sure he wasn't taken",Makayla answered.

"Oh",i said blankly.

"I'm just kidding",she laughed.

"Wait so you don't like matt",i said happily.

"No not really, I mean don't get me wrong he's cute but I'm not interested in him. Besides you have him wrapped around your finger",she said.

"What are you talking about",I laughed.

"He loves you Blair, it's pretty obvious. I was watching you two on the way down here. He stares at you constantly, and he blushes every time you two make eye contact, and I have a feeling you like him back",she said poking me.

"You don't know anything",i laughed.

"Sure",she teased.

We walked for another 4 hours before we reached a large gate.

"Here we are",Makayla said.

I looked into the gate to see what looked like a small neighbor hood. There was about 12 houses in a long row. I'm guessing that Makaylas family built the gate around the houses when the apocalypse started.

"Drop your weapons and get on the ground",I heard someone say. I looked up to see a girl around her mid 20's pointing a gun at us.

"Rachel it's me Makayla", she said walking towered her.

"Oh my gosh your okay",she said shocked.

"Yeah",she said with a small smile.

"And who are they",she asked pointing to all of us.
"These are my friends",she said.
Rachel nodded and opened the gates.
We all slowly walked in unaware of what to expect.

A little boy came running up to Makayla.

"Hunter",she yelled hugging him.
I guessed it was her brother.

Suddenly a man who looked about 25 walked up to us.

"So you must be new people, I'm mike, I'm in charge of this place",he said.

"Yeah I'm cameron and that's nash, Blair, Matt, kian, JC, and Johnson",cameron told him.

"Good to meet you, you guys can come to me if you ever need anything",he said.

"Where do we stay",I asked.

"Well we can fit all of you in that house on the end",he said pointing to a large house.

"Okay thank you",cameron said as we headed down there.

The house was even bigger on the inside. It was a two story house, the first floor had the living room, kitchen, two bathrooms and 3 bed rooms. The 2nd floor had 4 bed rooms and 2 more bathrooms. It was just the right size for the 7 of us.

"So do you guys like it",nash asked.

"It's perfect",i said happily.

"Good because I have a feeling we will be here for a long time",he said with a smile.

I'm praying we will be able to call this place our permanent home.
