Harlow
Getting back to my grandparents, Trevor went to the guest room shower and I went to do the same. After doing my skin care and getting in bed, I saw I had a missed call from Drake. I sighed and made myself comfortable in bed before calling him back. He answered after a couple of rings.
Hey, baby.
Hey, Drake.
He stared at the screen, smiling, but not saying a word.
Why are you looking at me like that?
You're just so fucking beautiful, Harlow.
Aren't you such a sweet talker?
Far from it. I just look at you and the way you make me feel, I can't really describe it.
I'm special, but no need to put me on a pedestal.
You're special to me and you should always be treated the way you deserve. The bar is set high with you, Harlow. You're not like other girls.
Is that a good or bad thing?
It's a great thing, baby. Anyways, you look comfy.
Mmm hmm, very. I just got out the shower.
Well, I just wanted to call and let you know I'm home and say good night again. You okay?
Yeah, I'm tired. It's been a long day.
You did a great job with your dad's party, Harls. He's really proud of you.
Even when I'm a pain in his ass, I know.
We shared a laugh.
Drake...
Yeah?
Did you mean what you said tonight?
He looked at me confused.
What do you mean?
You know, about me being your girlfriend?
You were being too hesitant and had your dad not walked in, I would've got you to say yes.
How can you be so sure about that?
He scoffed.
Tell me no. Tell me no to bring my girlfriend. I'll wait.
I can't. I... You should've just asked me again and then I could've told my dad.
He laughed.
How long was it going to take you to tell your dad?
Not long.
Right. Well, I saved you the trouble. Since you want me to ask you again though? Harlow, will you stop playing games and officially say yes to being my girlfriend?
Why are you so damn bossy?
Why are you avoiding the question? Say what you and I both know your answer is.
Fine, Mr. Bossy. Yes, I'll be your girlfriend.
He smiled.
Was that so hard?
I rolled my eyes.
It wasn't but you're not going to tell me what I will and will not do.
Oh really?
Drake, in case you haven't noticed, I do what I want.
In case you haven't noticed, doing what you want gets you in trouble.
