Trevor

I thanked Drake and Harlow for dropping me off. I watched as they pulled off before texting my friend to call me ab Uber. I sent them the money and they shared with me the ride that would be arriving in 2 minutes. It was nearing 10am and I'd get to Liberty by 11am and meet my friends for food then we were going to the new arcade and then by this beach after.

Harlow: Don't do anything stupid.

I quickly replied.

Trevor: I got you.

I took a deep breath as I watched my friends start to smoke. I had two choices right now, join in or leave. If I join in, I still get to hang with my friends. I could be in even more trouble if my mom.

Since Uncle Cody caught me smoking the last time, I haven't touched anything. Not a vape, weed, nothing. Uncle Drew and Uncle Colt were pissed when they found out and went off on me. Uncle Drew was more mild, but all my uncles scare the hell out of me. Plus now, I'll have to deal with Coach and I know he'll put me through hell and I could very well not make Varsity on top of that.

If I leave, now, yeah I'll still be in trouble with my mom, but smoking? She almost took my head off the last time. I already crossed a line by turning off my location. I don't need to add anything else to my list. Oh and top off that I've been ignoring her calls and texts and put my phone on Do Not Disturb? Yup, I'm in for it.

I put in for an Uber and told my friends I'd see them later. They wanted me to stay, but as the sun was setting within the hour, I needed to get my ass home. I took my phone off Do Not Disturb and decided to call my mom on the way back. She answered on the first ring.

Hello, Trevor.

Hey, mom.

You have a fun day in Liberty? Last time I checked, I told you I didn't want you going over there.

How'd you...

Don't worry about how I found out. I quickly put two and two together but once you were officially tracked down, it just proved my original thoughts. We'll talk when you get home.

I'm in the Uber now.

Share the ride.

I will, mom.

Now, Trevor.

I sighed and sent her the stupid ride.

I sent it to you. Dang, relax.

50 minutes out. I'll see you when you get home and don't tell me to relax. Also, since you don't have anything to really do on the ride home, call your father.

You called him?!

Yes, I called him. He's your father and if you went MIA with him, I'd expect the same  courtesy. Don't yell at me either, Trevor Monroe. Your Uncle Drew was going to drive to Liberty to get you, but knowing that you weren't in any danger, I told him to hold off. Call your father. We'll continue our conversation when you get home.

Alright mom, whatever.

Stop talking to me like that. I let a lot of things slide Trevor, but talking to me the way you are isn't one of them.

Sorry.

I'll see you when you get here. I love you.

Love you, too.

I hung up and waited a good 5 minutes before I called my dad. He answered after a few rings.

Hello.
