The Magic Within You

Louis is everything and more Harry ever wanted.

He absolutely loves every aspect of this man. His loud side, the dramatic and panicked one, and especially his chaotic energy.

Likewise, his heart beats faster when Harry is allowed to see his gentle side. How Louis takes care of him or just how he snuggles up to Harry like a little kitten.

Louis is so perfect for him.

When he saw him for the first time, Louis stood in front of Santa with red cheeks and smiled nervously as he confessed to his little siblings that he didn't have a mobile phone with him.

Harry already knew then that this man would steal his heart by storm. Actually, he already had and he looked forward to each new day and hoped that Louis would show up again. At first he was doubtful that he would misunderstand Louis' striking looks and that he was reading too much into it. There was a chance that this magnificent kind of a man was neither single nor gay.

And he loves Louis' mind. His wit, his way of thinking and loving, how he enchants Harry with every word that comes out of his mouth. Harry would love to dive into his mind for a whole day, swim around in it and listen to all his thoughts.

But Harry seems to have done something right in his life that the universe or fate, whatever, threw this man at his feet.

And actually Harry had sworn off men. His last fling was only 5 months ago and after that he was so disappointed again that he decided to just stay single and not go on any more dates. Either he was just used for sex and then dumped, or he and the other man realised after a few dates that the initial chemistry between them wasn't enough. Not to mention his failed relationships before.

But then suddenly Louis stood in front of him and it was almost magical how Harry just knew that that was his person there.

And that's why it feels so right that he made this decision even though everyone thinks he's crazy for it. His mother and sister gasped in shock when they heard what he was planning to do. Just like his friends who he told about his plan. Everyone asked the same question, although also in different words: How can you do this so freshly in a relationship? Have you lost your mind?

And Harry answered every time: no, but my heart.

Of course there is that little voice of his subconscious that keeps whispering to him that it's too fast. That he doesn't know how Louis actually will feel about all this.

And every time he pushes the little voice away very quickly and listens to his heart pounding just thinking about Louis and just knows that it is absolutely the right thing to do.

So at this moment he lifts his head with a broad grin when the real estate agent suddenly stands in front of him.

"Mr. Styles, over-punctual as always and I'm already early," she greets him cheerfully and is already jingling the key between her fingers.

"Hi Ms. Cooper," Harry nods. "I honestly can't wait."

She hands him the key and points her hand invitingly at the door. "Then let's go, it's all yours from now on."

Harry breathes in and out deeply and smiles as he holds the key to his shop, his own shop, and slowly unlocks it. He turns the key extra slowly, enjoying every second of this first step. It is exactly the object that Louis told him about recently and Harry had already viewed it when he didn't know Louis yet. It would have been too big for his café and he asked his real estate agent to offer him something smaller. Unfortunately the options in Winterhollow were limited. But when Louis told him about his dream bookstore, Harry suddenly had a vision. His aunt's inheritance let him buy the shop instead of just renting it and Harry is finally a big step closer to his dream of owning his own café.
