Louis has already been awake for an hour, even though it was only five in the morning. And that's saying something when Louis usually has such a hard time getting out of bed.

But for the past two days he has been unable to suppress the thoughts that were initially just a crazy idea but have now become a crazy certainty.

Louis knows what he has to do, knows how he wants to spend his life and with whom, knows that nothing has felt more right in his life before.

He's only been trying for an hour to give himself enough courage and to put together the words to tell his family his plan and also to wait until he doesn't wake his mother from her sleep but until she's awake.

The only problem is that Louis is buzzing with energy, even though it's so early in the morning, now that he's finally decided to do it.

Alone yesterday the panic in the hours without Harry was bad enough and then the relief when everything had an explanation. He doesn't want to be so far away from Harry anymore and both of them are on the same page, as their conversation last night revealed. On top of that, Louis just wasn't happy in his job anyway anymore and maybe this is a sign to finally burn the bridges behind him.

Of course he will miss his family but he is still in the same country and just as long away as if he was in London. Despite everything, he is nervous about the conversation he will have with his mother and siblings. It's important to him that they're okay with it and don't send Louis to the nearest psychiatric hospital because he's lovesick.

In order to bridge the time until the house comes to life, he begins to put his suitcase back, carefully packs the angel and Harry's perfume bottle between his clothes so that they are protected inside and puts on Harry's sweater. He actually is in need of a wash after two days of continuous wear, but Louis decides that another day would be fine. After all, the sweater still smells a little like Harry and he still has a few hours to go before he can finally surprise his boyfriend, hug him and be right at the source.

With all his clothes packed and fully dressed, he finally sneaks through the hallway and into the bathroom. He attaches particular importance to making sure his hair is in the right place and shaves before packing up all his bits and bobs. Back in his room, he packs up these things as well and finally locks the suitcase.

A look at his phone reveals that he could now dare to wake up his mother because he really has no patience anymore.

Louis pads quietly across the hallway so as not to wake his siblings and knocks three times on Jay and Dan's bedroom door.

"Come in," his mother calls muffled and Louis quickly slips through the door and closes it gently again.

"Louis? What do you want in our room so early?" Jay murmurs sleepily and switches on the small lamp on the bedside table. Dan, on the other hand, just grunts and pulls the blanket far over his head.

Louis feels a little bit guilty. "I'm sorry to bother you but I need to talk to you mum."

Jay yawns, rubs her eyes, but then pats the mattress to indicate to Louis that he should come to her.

As Louis sits down next to her she asks, "What's on your mind Boo?"

"I'll be leaving today," he admits quietly and a little too quickly. Don't want to beat around the bush for too long but just get it over with quickly.

"Why? Do you have to go to the company? You're on vacation Lou, your boss can't demand that!"

Louis shakes his head and takes his mother's hand in his, hoping she won't be too upset. "My boss didn't ask for anything. But he's still getting a visit from me today."
