That morning, Jimmy was woken up by Lizzie splashing water on him. "Jimmy! Wake up! It's already 9 am!" Lizzie yelled. "No, five more mi---" Jimmy started to say, before being cut off by Lizzie splash him with water again. "Jim! Why are you still in my room? Go back to your room and go to sleep!" Lizzie shouted, her patience starting to run thin. "But I need more sleep!" Jimmy protested, feeling half-asleep still. "Okay, that's it, I'll go get Scott and freeze you!" Lizzie joked, but Jimmy's heart skipped a beat when she mentioned Scott. He stood up quickly and tried to hide the confusion and shock on his face. Lizzie didn't know what had happened with him and Scott yesterday, so he had to act like nothing had happened between them, even though it hurt him to lie to his own sister.  Jimmy walked out of Lizzie's room, rubbing his eyes to try to wake himself up. He bumped into Kathrine, startling her, and her surprise made her create vines and flowers everywhere. "Oh, Jimmy, I'm so sorry! I didn't see you there!" Katherine apologised frantically. But Jimmy was covered in flowers already, and he smiled good-naturedly at her and said, "It's okay, Kath, I didn't see you either." Katherine laughed and made the plants disappear. It was a sweet moment between the two friends. Jimmy noticed that Katherine had eyebags under her eyes and teased her gently. "So, Kath, how was your sleep?" "Ha ha, very funny, Jimmy," Katherine said sarcastically, rubbing her eyes as if she hadn't had a good night's rest. She had stayed up late talking to Jimmy about their feelings for Scott and Shrub, and she was feeling tired. But she did not regret it - it had been a meaningful conversation, and she was glad that they had talked it through. "Are you okay?" Jimmy asked her with concern. "I'm fine, Jim, just extremely tired!" Katherine said with a yawn, smiling at him. "Okay, Kath, you go back to sleep then!" Jimmy smiled at her, encouraging her to get some more rest after their late-night chat. He knew that she could use the rest after all that she had been through, and he hoped that sleep would help refresh her mind and spirits. Suddenly, Pearl came from behind them and greeted them with a joyful smile. "Heya guys!" she said cheerfully. "Damn, you guys look tired!" Kathrine replied, sounding exhausted yet trying to disguise her fatigue. "Aw, really?" Pearl asked. "Never noticed!" But before they could reply, Pearl had already taken both their hands and dragged them into the kitchen. "Here, let me get you guys some food!" she said. "I'll make us all something to eat," she added brightly. While Jimmy, Katherine, and Pearl were eating their breakfast, Shrub and Scott walked in. Pearl waved at them, but Jimmy and Katherine, who had not noticed Scott and Shrub coming in yet, were shocked. They quickly looked at each other with fear. "Oh hey Scott! Hey Shrub!" Pearl greeted them, still oblivious to their anxiety over seeing them there. Katherine and Jimmy exchanged quick glances but did not say anything, hoping that Pearl would not figure out the truth. After all, their feelings were still a secret between them. Seeing Scott and Shrub walk in, Jimmy and Katherine quickly finished their food and tried not to make eye contact with them. But Jimmy couldn't help it and snuck a quick glance at the two of them. He noticed that they both looked tired as well, with dark circles under their eyes and a tired expression on their faces. Kathrine noticed his glance and followed his gaze, noticing the same thing about Scott and Shrub. She wondered what their late night had been like and what they had been up to.  Suddenly, Shrub and Katherine made eye contact, causing them both to blush. Kathrine's heart started racing and her palms got sweaty, making giant planets suddenly appear and lift both her and Jimmy off the ground. Her power and emotions were out of control, and she had to strain to keep the planets from crashing back down to earth. The whole kitchen was filled with the giant planets as everyone stared at her, shocked at the display of her powers. Gem and Pixel ran into the room because they heard a loud sound coming from the kitchen. "Is everyone okay?" Pearl asked, concerned. "Yeah!" Everyone replied. But then, Gem pulled her staff out and made all the planets disappear, causing everyone to gasp in surprise. It was one thing for Kathrine's power to display itself, but it was another thing entirely when Gem got involved and made the planets disappear. The whole kitchen was relieved that the planets were no longer in the room, but everyone was also amazed and a little scared by Gem's abilities. Kathrine looked around, seeing everyone looking at her, and she got frightened and ran out of the room. Jimmy followed her to see if she was okay, leaving Pearl, Scott, Shrub, Pixel, and Gem confused. "Okay, someone tell me what happened now!" Gem said, irritated as she tried to figure out why everyone was staring at each other, and why Kathrine and Jimmy had suddenly left. She thought that there must have been some kind of conflict or misunderstanding, but still, she wanted to know the whole story. As Pearl explained everything that had happened that morning, Gem and Pixel were left even more confused. How had Kathrine gotten so strong with her powers? What had happened with Jimmy and Kathrine? Or Scott and Shrub? Gem and Pixel were left with so many questions, not knowing what to think or if they would even get any answers in the end. "Okay, that's it! I'm going to call a meeting!" Gem said, her tone indicating that she was fed up and determined to get some answers. "Wait! Gem! Uh..." Scott yelled, desperately trying to think of a way to stop her from calling the meeting. "Gem, can you give us a day to fix this?" Gem considered Scott's request for a moment, but then she shook her head. "No, we need to talk about this now." She said, her tone firm and decisive. "Wait, Gem! I'll tell you everything!" Shrub cut into the conversation between Gem and Scott. She knew that the conversation was important, but she didn't want to see Scott and Gem fighting or arguing. "I'll tell you everything that happened between me and Kathrine," she said insistently. Gem paused, considering Shrub's words. She didn't want there to be any more fighting or drama, but she also wanted to learn what had happened between Scott, Shrub, and Kathrine. "Okay fine, tell me what really happened!" Gem said, her tone indicating that she was tired of all the secrets and evasiveness. She wanted to know the truth once and for all, and hoped that Shrub could provide some answers to help clear things up. "What happened between you and Kathrine?" she asked impatiently. "Well, after we looked at Jimmy's dream and everyone left, me and Kathrine went to the pond to talk!" Shrub blushed as she continued. "We were talking about Kathrine... and then I mentioned that she made giant flowers and planets that helped her make her kingdom, and she wanted to try!" This new information made Gem's eyes light up, as she now had more context about what had happened between them. "Try to do what?" she asked curiously. "Make the flowers..." Shrub whispered, and Gem's eyes went wide. "Shrub! You did what?" Gem yelled, sounding alarmed and upset. "I'm so sorry, I didn't know what I was thinking! But we were having a good time and..." Shrub faltered and started to stutter, crying as she continued. "Then Xornoth took over my body... and I lost control. But I don't want it to happen again, and I swear it will never happen again, I promise!" "The next thing I knew, Kathrine left crying, leaving me by the pond....." Shrub said, her voice breaking as she cried. "Shrub, why didn't you tell me that Xornoth was here? You know how dangerous he is, he could have killed you!" Gem sounded concerned and afraid for Shrub. She knew how cruel and merciless Xornoth could be, and she was scared that Shrub would be in danger. She was upset that Shrub hadn't told her sooner, knowing how dangerous the situation could be. Shrub cried as Scott went up to her and hugged her tightly. "Hey, it's okay, Shrub!" Scott said, trying to comfort her, as she was still very upset. Then, Scott proceeded to explain everything that had happened in the cave with him and Jimmy, and how his demon brother had taken over him and hurted Jimmy's feelings. Gem listened to Scott's explanation, and she felt sorry for both Scott and Jimmy. She was glad that Scott had shared this with her, and she hoped that they could all put aside the drama and remain friends. "So has anyone talked with Jimmy or Kathrine?" Pixel asked. Both Scott and Shrub shook their heads, indicating that they haven't talked with either Jimmy or Kathrine. Scott then added, "I think Jimmy hates me!" in a tearful voice. Pearl, who was watching everything unfold, knew it wasn't true, that Jimmy didn't hate Scott at all and in fact loved him, but she didn't say anything and just watched, enjoying all the drama that had unfolded. "Who does Jimmy hate?" Lizzie and Joel asked as they entered the room. Pearl proceeded to tell them everything that had happened, and they both looked shocked. "Jim and Kath were in my room last night, and they didn't say anything about that!" Lizzie exclaimed, confused and sad that her own brothers had not shared this with her. She wanted to know what was going on with them and why they hadn't told her sooner. "Lizzie, I am so sorry about everything that's been going on," Scott cried. "Scott, it's okay," Lizzie said, reassuring him and smiling gently in an attempt to comfort him. She had no idea that Scott had also been going through a lot, and she felt bad that she hadn't realised that before. She hoped that things would get better for Scott and Jimmy soon, and that they would be able to talk about their feelings to each other and resolve any misunderstandings. "So Scott, you like Jimmy?" Joel teased, trying to lighten the mood. Scott blushed and looked down at the ground, not wanting to directly admit his feelings. "Uh, I-I do, I don't know... " he said, his voice sounding unsure as he tried to figure out what he really felt. "How about you, Shrub," Joel teased, looking at him with playful curiosity. "What about you and Kathrine? Do you fancy her?" Shrub blushed and looked away, surprised by the question. She looked nervous and embarrassed, not wanting to admit her feelings for Kathrine in front of everyone. "Uh, I-I guess so... yeah," She said, her voice faltering. "Damn, how do you even fall in love with the same person again?" Joel teased, sounding amused and playful. "Joel, you can't even say anything, you literally fell in love with Lizzie before and after she became the ocean queen!" Gem teased back, making Joel and Lizzie blush. It was true, Joel had been in love with Lizzie twice, once when she was a normal human girl, and once after she had become the ocean queen. It was a funny little fact that the group never let him forget.
