Plants and blood

After days passed since the incident, fWhip finally finished making all of the armor needed for everyone. In the meantime, Pearl was busy training everyone for the big fight, and the day had finally come to take back their friends. Everyone was anxious and nervous, but they knew they were ready to face Xornoth. They had to be, because their friends' lives depended on it. It was time to make a stand, and put an end to the madness once and for all. Scott stared at the pond calmly, thinking about Jimmy. He missed him so much over the last few days, and he realised he had never had the chance to properly apologise to him. His heart raced every time he thought about Jimmy, and he couldn't forget his tan skin that had patches of fish scales, his dirty blonde hair that was always wet or sandy, or the spark that was always in his brown eyes. He missed him so much, and he couldn't wait to finally see, hear and touch him again. As Lizzie walked past, she saw Scott staring at the pond, looking both calm and anxious. "Hey Scott! You feeling good?" she asked, looking at his calm but also anxious expression. "I don't know... I just want Jimmy and Katherine back..." he replied, still looking at the pond. He had been thinking so much about his friends, and he couldn't wait to have them back. He hoped that their plan to save them would work, and that Xornoth would finally be defeated once and for all. Lizzie put her arm around Scott and said reassuringly. "We all want Jimmy and Katherine back, but today we have a big chance of getting them back!" Scott nodded, looking at Lizzie for a moment. "Yeah, I know," he said. "I just hope our plan works." The group had come up with a plan to try and save their friends from the possession, but they couldn't be sure if it would work. They had been training hard and preparing to take on both Jimmy and Katherine, but the unknown was always scary. Suddenly, Gem called everyone towards her and yelled, "Guys, group meeting!" "Come on Scott, let's go and get this over with so you can get your lover back!" Lizzie said, smiling and teasing Scott, which made him feel less worried for a moment. "Yeah, alright," Scott said, nodding and taking a deep breath. The group was now gathered around Gem, waiting to hear what she had to say. There was no point in dragging things out any longer; they had to make their move and fight to save their friends. "So is everyone ready?" Gem asked, looking at everyone's scared and excited faces. "Gem what if this doesn't work?" Joey asked with a worried expression. "We'll try again and again until we finally get them back," Gem said, looking at Joey firmly. "Okay everyone, huddle up close!" Gem said, pulling her staff and creating a green and purple mist that circled around them. The group of friends huddled together in a tight circle, now feeling united in their goal and determination to save their friends. 

Everyone shut their eyes while some held each other's hands tightly. Suddenly, they felt themselves being teleported, and there was a brief moment of disorientation. When they opened their eyes, they found themselves in Xornoth's lair, and they were face-to-face with Jimmy and Katherine, laying on the floor lifelessly who still looked possessed. For a moment, their fear was replaced by shock, and their hearts were racing now that they were finally in the thick of things. But they didn't have time to waste, they had to save their friends before it was too late. Jimmy and Katherine lay motionless on the floor, seemingly lifeless. As everyone watched, the tension was thick in the air. Suddenly, Sausage accidentally stepped back and stepped on Joey's foot. "Ouch!" Joey screamed, and at that moment, Jimmy and Katherine both stirred and opened their red, blood-shot eyes. They slowly stood up, towering over Sausage, who was still on the ground. The two still looked possessed, but suddenly the ground started shaking and rumbling. Something was happening, and it didn't bode well. Red vines started emerging from the unstable floor, causing everyone to stumble and struggle to maintain their balance. "Jimmy" and "Katherine" both laughed, but the sound was sinister and unnaturally deep, giving everyone shivers down their spine. Their voices were no longer their own, and they both sounded like they were being possessed by some powerful demon. The scene was unnerving, and everyone felt a sense of dread as they realised that the creatures they thought were their friends were now under the control of an evil entity. As everyone picked themselves up, Jimmy and Katherine split up, taking the left and right side each. This left the group feeling trapped and helpless. Katherine suddenly grew more plants and held half of the group to the ground using her magic. At the same time, Jimmy started using his powers to create floating water that surrounded the other half of the group, almost drowning them. The whole scene was terrifying and chaotic, with the group struggling to break free and escape the magic hold of Jimmy and Katherine. It seemed as if they were helpless against these powerful entities. Scott struggled to escape Katherine's magic plants, trying to cut them with his sword, but they quickly grew back. Suddenly, he had a plan; he used his powers and froze Katherine in a block of ice. Pearl and Gem were also freed and managed to break out before he could be overpowered by Katherine's plants. They all ran to regroup with the rest of the team who were still trying to escape from Jimmy. As Lizzie tried to free herself from the magic plants, she suddenly realised that Joel and Grian were drowning due to Jimmy's powers. She was filled with rage and decided to use her own power to take control of the water. With a burst of magic, she freed everyone from their watery prison and used the water as a weapon against Jimmy, making him lose his balance and drop to the ground. The team was now fully united and ready to fight back against Jimmy and Katherine and rescue their fallen friends. Quickly, Jimmy stood back up after being brought to the ground, and he had regained control of the water. "Guys what do we do, they're so strong!" fWhip asked, looking at everyone with fear. "Just keep them distracted while me, shrub, Scott and Lizzie try to get the real Jimmy and Katherine back!" Gem yelled, and Katherine began walking towards their group, her face filled with malice. Katherine began to create more giant and deadly plants around half of the group, making them split up. As Pix charged towards one of the plants, trying to slash through it, Katherine grabbed him with her powerful magic and drew him closer to her. "Pix!" Grian cried, seeing his friend being drawn into Katherine's grip. With Pix trapped, the rest of the group would have to fight harder than ever to save him and the other possessed members of the team. "Shrub we have to get Katherine under control now!" Pearl yelled, to which Shrub nodded and charged forward, cutting through all the plants in her path towards the possessed Katherine. The rest of the group stayed back and tried to keep Jimmy and the rest of Katherine's plants at bay while they waited for Shrub to do their job. The tension and fear were palpable, but they all knew that it had to be done. The fight with Xornoth was still far from over, and they had to stay focused on their goal of freeing their friends. As Shrub slashed the vines that surrounded Pix, she told him to run. Once Pix was safe, Shrub was face-to-face with Katherine, who once was her lover but now was possessed and filled with bloodlust. Shrub desperately looked into Katherine's red eyes, hoping to see if there was still any sign of her former self inside. But as she stared into her eyes, a vine crept up her leg, taking a grip on her and preventing her from moving. "Awww, poor Shrub," Katherine teased, making her mad. "Trying to help little old Katherine." "Do you know why she even got possessed in the first place?" The demon laughed and taunted, but the question lingered in Shrub's head, and she started to wonder how and why Katherine had ended up in this situation. The demon seemed amused by her curiosity, but Shrub was determined to find out the answer. Suddenly, "Katherine" spoke up in her deep and demonic voice, before it morphed back into Katherine's voice. "Shrub hates me; I would do anything just to be friends with her again!" Shrub's heart sank as she heard Katherine say that. She hadn't realised that Katherine thought she hated her, and that was the reason she had become possessed. Shrub felt her heart throb and her tears started building up, as she realised that Katherine was still inside, but she was held captive by the curse. Shrub was filled with doubt, not knowing what to do. She thought that it was her fault that Katherine, the person she loved most, ended up getting possessed. "Katherine" put Shrub down and slowly made a thorny vine creep up behind Shrub. As she continued to cry, the vine slowly began to wrap itself around her, suffocating her and making it difficult for her to breathe. Katherine seemed pleased by this, and Shrub felt her heart sinking as the vines tightened around her and the air disappeared from her lungs. "Shrub!" Pearl yelled, and she instantaneously pulled out her sword and cut off the thorny vine, leaving Shrub gasping for air and bleeding. Pearl and Grian ran up to her and looked at the wounds all over Shrub's body. "Shrub are you okay?!" Grian asked with concern, but Shrub didn't respond. She was just staring at the bloody ground, seemingly lifeless. Pearl saw this and realised what she had to do, but she didn't want to hurt her friend even more. Pearl stealthily took the item that would trigger real Katherine to take control from Shrub's pockets and started running towards Katherine. "Aw, Pearl, come and save me!" the demon said using Katherine's voice, which made Pearl even more angry. Seeing her friend being controlled like this made Pearl feel helpless and frustrated, and she was determined to do whatever it took to free Katherine and save the team. Pearl pulled out the item that could potentially help and maybe even save Katherine from her pocket and showed it to the demon. "Aw, did you really think a stuffed toy sheep with a tulip would save you Katherine?" The demon said, before stopping suddenly as they started to feel a sharp pain in their head. Katherine's body then convulsed and she dropped to the ground, coughing up blood. "Pearl! Quickly!" Katherine gasped weakly, and Pearl was horrified to see that her friend was still alive but struggling to stay conscious. Pearl tried to run as fast as she could towards Katherine, but then vines quickly started to grow all around her, trapping her in place. "Please Pearl, hurry!" Katherine cried desperately, coughing up more blood. But the vines kept tightening their grip on Pearl's feet, making it impossible for her to move. Katherine then continued to cough and struggle against her possession, until she once again collapsed on the ground, barely able to stay conscious. The vines slowly picked up the unconscious Katherine and began to puppet her, as if she were a doll. Pearl struggled to break free and was starting to lose hope when she saw Katherine's eyes slowly turn red again. Thankfully, at that moment, Grian flew in from above and quickly cut all the vines that were still holding Katherine up. Shrub took off the crown at the same time, allowing Katherine to finally break free from the cursed possession and take back control over her own body. The vines then disappeared and Katherine fell to the ground, limp and unconscious. As everyone ran up to Katherine, who was laying lifelessly on the ground, Shrub hugged her tightly and started to cry. "Katherine please! Come on, please be alive," she said, her voice filled with fear and desperation. But Katherine didn't respond, and the group stood around in worried silence as they waited for any sign of life. But as seconds turned to minutes, they began to lose hope and fear set in. Had they lost their friend again? As Shrub cried onto Katherine's bloody white and purple dress, a whisper was heard in her ear. "I'll forever love you Katherine, even if it takes another 1000 years..." Suddenly, flowers and grass started to grew all around them, and the group was taken aback by this unusual sight. "Wh-what is this?" Joey and Grian asked, both rubbing the tears off their eyes. Their hearts were filled with hope and relief as they took it as a sign that Katherine was still alive and her spirit was fighting back. "Guys, what happened?" a weak Katherine asked as she tried to sit up. Shrub, Pix, Joey, Grian, and Pearl stood in front of her and stared at her in disbelief. Shrub smiled as tears streamed down her face, and she pulled Katherine in for a tight hug, unwilling to let go. "Katherine, you're alive!" she sobbed, and at the sight of life in her friend's eyes, everyone's hearts soared with relief and joy. "Katherine, I am so sorry," Shrub cried, looking at her with loving eyes. "I was the person that got you possessed; I love you so much, I'm never leaving you ever again!" Katherine stared back with her own loving gaze and smiled, then said, "I love you too, Shrub!" As the two locked eyes, they came together in a passionate kiss that seemed to express all the pain and love they had for each other. The group watched in happiness, glad to see their friends reunited after such a dangerous ordeal. As Katherine and Shrub pulled away from the kiss, they both burst out laughing and smiled at each other. Then, Grian came and tried to push Shrub away, which made everyone else laugh as well. "Move, Shrub! I also miss Katherine too" Grian protested, even as he was crying, which made the group laugh even harder. After all the drama and danger they had gone through, the reunion of Katherine and Shrub brought a much needed lightness to the atmosphere, and everyone was relieved to see that their friends were finally safe after a long and treacherous journey.
