Chapter Twenty One

Victoria woke up the next day. She was still upset and annoyed with Peter about the argument they had last night. She couldn't think about that right now she had to go pick up her mom from the hospital. She got out of bed and got herself ready. She grabbed her keys. Grabbed her coat and headed to the hospital. She tried calling Peter but no answer. She was worried about him but she didn't let it bother her. She wanted picking up her mom to go well. She made it to the hospital. She walked to the room her mom was in and saw that she was dressed and ready to go. "Hey mom." Said Victoria with a smile. Aunt May looked up at Victoria. "Hey sweetheart. Come sit with me." Said Aunt May as she placed her hand on the bed beside her. Victoria walked over and sat down. "Where's Peter?" Asked Aunt May. Victoria looked at May. "I called him but I got no answer." Said Victoria. Aunt May placed her hand on Victoria's shoulder. She saw the worry looking in Victoria's eyes. "I'm sure he's alright. He's probably busy with the Bugle." After she said that, the doctor walked in. "Mrs. Parker. You are free to go. Just need the release forms. Victoria and Aunt May left the hospital. They both made it home. Aunt May was happy to be home again. Aunt May turned and looked at Victoria. She could tell something was bothering her. "What's wrong Victoria?" Asked Aunt May. Victoria hesitated to answer. She knew her mom had a rough week. She finally looked at her. "It's Peter, mom. We had an argument last night and he stormed off. It's been bothering me ever since. I'm worried about him." Victoria was about to break down. Aunt May walked over to Victoria and gave her a hug. "It's alright. He'll be alright. You two will work it out. Y'all always do." Victoria looked at Aunt May and smiled. "Thanks mom." Aunt May smiled back. "I'm always here for you."
