Chspter Twenty Eight

On the rooftop...
Peter took his mask off. Victoria looked at Peter with gratitude in her eyes. "Thank you, Peter," she said, her voice filled with relief. "I don't know what would have happened if you hadn't come." Peter smiled and patted her shoulder. "It's what I do, Victoria. I'm always here to protect the people I care about." Peter then lowered his head. "What's wrong?" Asked Victoria. "I'm sorry,I haven't been the best and I have been giving you the cold shoulder." Peter tightened his grip on his mask. "I've been rude,and I shouldn't have treated you like that. We have our ups and downs but you're still the best cousin ever" Victoria smiled at Peter and walked closer to him. Peter placed his hand on his head as he was thinking of more things to say. " I need you. We keep the family together." Peter paused one more time. "I just wanted to tell you again that I'm sorry and I still care about you and I love you." Victoria was quiet. She walked to Peter and gave him a hug. "It's alright. I love you too. I knew that you weren't yourself. Did it scare me? Yes. But I knew that you would find a way to get back to normal." Peter smiled. The moment didn't last long when Peter detected more danger. He quickly put on his mask and stood in front of Victoria. The Green Goblin flew past with the other villains not far behind. They head to the bridge. Spider-Man looked at Victoria. "Get to safety." Spider-Man leaped off the roof and headed back to the bridge.

Spider-Man landed on top of the bridge. He looked at the Green Goblin hovering over the bring. Otto and Kraven were on the side. Electro and Vulture were hovering beside the Green Goblin. All of the villains were smiling at Spider-Man. "I know something about you." Spider-Man clenched his fist. "Oh yeah!" Yelled Spider-Man. The Green Goblin didn't say anything. All he did was look down. Dust and debris were scattered everywhere. Spider-Man looked to see what the villains were looking at. Out from the darkness of the dust came out Venom. Spider-Man couldn't believe it. He had someone in his hand getting dragged. It was Gwen! Spider-Man was angry. He leaped off the bridge and headed to Venom. Venom quickly threw Gwen to the Green Goblin. Venom pinned Spider-Man to a crashed truck. "Have fun boys." Said the Green Goblin and he flew off with Gwen.
