Chapter 14

I wake up in the morning, take a shower and throw on something random. I rush downstairs and to the kitchen where mom is--where she always is.

"Hey mom, can you drop me off at Taylor's?" I asked.

"Shouldn't you let her rest?" She asked me.

"She knows I'm coming. She told Maya, Nicole, and me to come over." I said.

"Okay. I have to finish making breakfast. Ask your father to take you before he goes to work. He should be coming down in a sec." She says.

"Okay." I say and sit down at the bar in the kitchen.

"Bree, are you and Jack really 'great' like you told me last night?" My mom asked.

"Yeah. He's a really great guy." I said. "Did you see this locket he got me?"

"Yeah I've seen it around your neck for the past month, I was wondering when you were going to tell me about it." She said smiling at me.

I smile back and start blushing, "Mom he is so sweet. He's there for me no matter what. I can never stop thinking about him, and I get butterflies, and chills whenever I talk to him. And I know it's only been about two months but I'm-"

"You're in love with him." She finished my sentence. I look at her and nod. "Bree you don't have to be with someone for a long period of time to know you love them. Sometimes, it just feels right. Maybe it was love at first sight, maybe it wasn't. But it really only takes 1 day to realize you love someone."

"Is that how you felt with Chad?" I asked.

"Yeah." She said smiling. Speaking of Chad, he comes down the stairs.

"Hey honey." Chad an Elizabeth say at the same time and share a quick kiss.

"Hey dad." I said.

"Hi Bree." He said. "I have to go or I'll be late."

"Wait dad, can you take me to Taylor's house reallllyyyy quick, it's on your way to work." I said.

"Okay Bree." He said.

"Thank you. Bye mom." I said waving as we rushed out the house.

**5 minutes later**

"Okay bye Bree be good." He said to me.

"Be good? What am I supposed to do that's bad? She's in a wheelchair." I say and chuckle a little. "But okay, bye dad."

I walk in Taylor's house without knocking, running up to Taylor's room. The three girls are already sitting there waiting for me.

"Bree you're late. You were supposed to be here at 9:00. It is 9:23." Taylor says.

"I know, but why is this meeting so early??" I ask.

"Because we have a lot to talk about. And we are starting with you. Spill about the group chat message." Taylor says.

"Finee." I explain everything that happened from the time Kyle showed up to my house to the time Jack and I got done talking last night.

"So you and Jack are going to have sex?!" Nicole says shocked.

"Keep it down. Taylor's parents are still here you know." I said. "And yes. I don't want to be the only virgin and I think I'm ready."

"Well thinking isn't knowing." Maya says.

"Well I'm going through with it. I love him and I want him to be my first." I say.

"Okay..." Maya said.

"What?" I say.

"Nothing. We are happy for you and hope your first is special for you." Maya says.
