Chapter 22

Bree's p.o.v.

We finish eating and I drive back home to pick up Hayes. Jack and I switch seats and Hayes sits in the back. When we get to the dmv it's 1:15.

At the DMV

We sign in and wait for our name to be called to take the test.

"Breeanna Grier??" A man said.

I stand up slowly. "Good luck." Jack and Hayes whisper. I take Jacks keys and walk up to the man.

"That's me." I say.

We get out to the car and we put our seat belts on. Then I start the car. "Okay. I will tell you where to turn and when to keep straight, the rest is up to you. And I will be marking off everything as I go if you complete it." He explains. "So you can start when you are ready."

I take a deep breath and think of something happy then I smell Jacks cologne, I don't know why his car smells like his cologne, but it does. The man smells it too because he said, "what is that smell."

"My boyfriends cologne" I said smiling a bit and then pulling out the parking lot.

"Make a right at this next street." He said. I turn my blinker on and turn right. I keep straight then come to a stop at a stop sign. I see no cars coming so I start going again. "Make another right onto the main street." I turn my blinker on and stop at the light. I turn right and start going again. "And turn left up here." I turn my blinker on and go in the turning lane then turn left when the light turns green.

The rest of the drive consist of the same thing and then he leads me back to the DMV. "Are you wanting to know how you did now or after your brother?" He asked me.

"Hmmmm. I'll wait until Hayes is done." I say.

We walk back inside and he motions for Hayes to come.

I sit next to Jack and put my head on his shoulder. "How'd you do?"

"I think I did pretty good. But I said I want to wait until Hayes is done with his test." I say.

"Did you think about something that makes you happy." He asked.

I laughed. "I thought about your cologne."

He laughs too, "my cologne?"

"Yeah. I smelt your cologne in your car and that made me smile." I say.

He kissed my forehead. "Good. Because I have something to give you when we leave here."

**About 15 minutes later**

Hayes and the guy walks back into the DMV and walks over to us. "Benjamin, Breeanna. You both passed your driving test." He said and handed us papers then looks at Hayes. "Do you want your license to say Benjamin Grier or Hayes Grier?"

"Hayes Grier" he answered. And the guy walked off.

Hayes and I gave each other a big hug then I gave Jack a hug and Hayes gave Jack a 'bro' hug. "Proud of you both." Jack said. "Do you three want to hangout for a lil while?" He asked.

"No, I don't want to be a third wheel." Hayes said.

"And we still have a lot of planning to do by Saturday." I say.

"Well then I'll come over and help plan." He said.

"Okay." Hayes and I both say and shrugged.
