Chapter 5

It's the last day of school, the last hour. All of my finals are finished and I'm waiting for the last school bell to ring. 5 minutes. I never knew Foster kids can leave their city without being adopted because Jess, Sam, Danny, and Amanda are all coming here for the summer. I'm kind of surprised my mom is letting them stay with us. 2 minutes.

Two minutes left and I get a text.
From: Baby😘😍😘😍
Hey meet me at the bike racks behind the school when you get out of class. I have to give you something.😘

Did I forget to mention? After I set Taylor up with Carter she kinda returned the favor and set me up with Jack G. 10 seconds left and everyone starts counting down.

10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, *rrrrrrringggggg*

School is finally over and I walk out the class with Tay, Nicole, and Maya. "Hey I have to go." I told them

"Why were you going?" Taylor asked.

"Jack wanted me to meet him somewhere." I said.

"Okay but you're still coming to my party tonight right?" She asked.

"Wouldn't miss it!" I said walking the opposite direction as them.

I walk out the doors by the gym to the back of the school where I was supposed to meet Jack. I guess I beat him here because I didn- someone grab me from behind into a hug. I smiled, turned around, and saw Jack. I put my arms around his neck while his hands were still on my waist and we stared into each other's eyes. He leaned in and his soft lips touched mine. I loved his kisses. We pulled away after about 30 seconds.

"I have something for you." He said while getting something out his pocket. It was a heart shaped locket and it had a picture of us together in it.

"I love it!" I said as he put it around my neck. We look into each other's eyes again and we both lean in. Then my phone goes off. Nash was calling me. "I'm so sorry." I mouth while answering the phone.

"Hello?" .. "I'm with Jack" .. "Back of the school by the bike racks." .. "Okay, take your time though." "K. Bye."

"You have to leave?" He asked.

"Yeah I'm sorry." I sighed.

"You're going to Taylor's party though right?" He said.

"Yeah, I kinda have to. She would hate me if I didn't." I told him.

"Maybe I can pick you up?" He asked.

"I have to go early, help set up. But I'll see you there..." I said as Nash pulled up by us.

"Okay.. Bye." He said as we have a quick kiss before I got into the car.

Nash drove off and turned the music down. "Why didn't you tell me you were going back there with him?" He asked.

"Because I don't have to tell you everything single thing I do." I said.

"Well as your ride to everywhere you go I think you do." He said.

"Nash you're my brother not my dad. We were just hanging out and talking." I told him almost yelling.

"I know but I care about you and I want to know where you are in case of an emergency or so you don't get hurt." He said calming down.

"Get hurt from who or what? Jack? He wouldn't hurt me. And even if he does then it would've been my mistake for trusting him. If he was a mistake for me then let me learn from them. Please Nash you have to trust me. I'm glad that you're worried about me, but you don't have to flip out like this." I said to him.

"Bree is right" Hayes said budding in.

"Okay Bree. I do trust you. And I'll let you do what you want." Nash said.

I smiled as Nash turned the music back up and no one talked for the rest of the car ride.
