Chapter 24

Bree's p.o.v.

It was July 4th. Independence Day and the day of Hayes and my's 'late' birthday party. The party was going to be at my house so we all had to set up. Almost everyone who went to Taylor's last day of school party is coming to our birthday party. Will came back for the party yesterday. It's 8:43 am and everyone who is going to help set up(my friends)should be here any minute.

**Knock Knock**

I run downstairs in a tshirt and sweats and open the door. "Hey everyone" I said welcoming them in. "Taylor. We weren't supposed to pick you up until later. What are you doing here?"

"Bree I want to help. I know I'm still on crutches but I can still help with these things." She says.

"Okay. I'll find something easy for you to do." I said. "Hayes or Sky, do you know where the rest of the family is? They are supposed to help."

Hayes shook his head but Sky was keeping something in. "Skylynn. Do you know where they are?"

"No. But Jack does." She blurted out pointing at Gilinsky.

Before I could say anything I was interrupted by 2 horns blowing outside and we all ran out there. Outside were 2 really nice convertibles, a silver one and a black one. Hayes and I looked at each other, mouths wide open.

"HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY!!!!" Mom, Dad, Will, and Nash yelled to us.

Hayes and me walked down to them. "Are you serious?!" We both asked.

"Yeah. It's all yours. Just pick with one." Mom said.

"I want the silver one." "I want the black one." Me and Hayes said at the same time.

Mom handed me the keys to the silver car and Dad handed Hayes the keys to the black car. "Best. Birthday. Ever." I whispered to Hayes as we walked back up to the house.

I showed Jack the keys. "You knew they were giving me a car?"

"Yeah. How else do you think they knew what car to get you?" He said. "When are you going for a test drive?"

"Well not right now, but later if we have time before the party I guess." I said.

"Hayes, Bree, go park your cars in the garage so nothing happens to them at the party." Mom said.

"Or we can go quickly right now." Jack said.

"Girls and Jack get in the silver car." I said. And Hayes was telling some of the boys to get in the car too. Guess he had the same idea too. My family and Cam went back inside while we were loading the cars.

"Bree want to have a race?" Hayes asked pulling up right next to me.

"No. At least not today. This car can't get messed up yet." I say. "Where do you want to go though?"

"You guys hungry?" Hayes asked. Everyone nodded. "Let's grab something from McDonald's."

"Drive thru or stay and eat?" I asked.
"It's only 9:15."

"We can stay there. But tell Nash and Cam to meet us there, so they don't feel left out." Hayes told me. I quickly text Nash and he says 'K'.

"Okay let's go." I say driving off, Hayes following behind me. "Hey did you girls remember to bring your outfits over here?"

"Yeah they are in a bag on the couch. But I don't know if I like mine that much so I might have to borrow your clothes." Nicole said.

"We are still spending the night aren't we?" Maya asked.
