Chapter 23: The Stay Before Marriage

3rd person pov:

As bakugou walks into the counc8l room. He sees the lady with short hair bowing to izuku.

Bakugou is startled by the sight.

Izu:"Great timing as ever kacchan."

Ururaka stands up to greet bakugou. Walking up to him.

Uru:"So we meet again, sir. I must thank you for introducing me to the emperor."

Bakugou takes her hand and bows before his eyes look away in sarrow.

Baku:"I was only looking out for him, and you seemed kind enough to be with him."

As bakugou lifts his head. Izuku sees the fake smile on his face.

Baku:"Take good care of him."

As bakugou lets go of her hand to walk away. Ururaka grabs his.

Uru:"I know everything. Which is why I wanna help. I'll provide an aire and stand in the public eye as his wife. In exchange, you are free to have him as yours in private. He'll also gain an alley and more security."

Ururaka acts as if she wants to dance with bakugou. Only to pass him back to izuku's arms with a smile.

Uru:"Myself and magne will be moving in as soon as possible for the trial stay. After a month. We'll have the wedding. Which means my family guards will be watching closely."

Baku:"So I only got one month to act like nothing is between us?"

Izuku nods yes. Causing bakugou to smirk.

Baku:"Challenge excepted."

As time passes by. Bakugou would give izuku looks, acationaly touch his hand for a moment in t he bath house, or bump into him in the halls to pass a letter.  When izuku is in a room with his guards. He would read the coded letter aloud. Keeping the hidden message to himself. As bakugou disgized them as security reports. Everytime izuku would read one. Ururaka would giggle. As she very quickly caught on. This causes izuku to blush.

Then the day came. Izuku is nervous. So as kirishima helps dress the emperor. He draws circles on his back with a finger and tags both three times.

Kiri:"You have survived the past and are living in the present. Now greet your future with open arms. Only then will you see happiness. Now focus on your breath. In for ten, pause for three, and out for seven."

After doing a few breaths like kirishima advised him. Izuku stops shaking and steps out wit h a smile.

Izu:"Thank you my friend."

Ururaka is escorted by her father to izuku's side soon after. That's when a purple ribbon is tied around both of their wrists once they hold each other's right hand.

As both say a Latin prayer for health and fertility. The priest sets fire to the ribbon.

Monama:"Let the ashes of this that binds you both represent until death do you part."

With a final amen from the crowd. Everyone heads from the garden to the ballroom. Everyone except bakugou, magne, izuku, and ururaka.

As they head for izuku's bedroom. The bed has a thin vail like curtain over it for some privacy. However there must be three witnesses to the act of consummating the marriage.

So izuku calls for the third person.

Izu:"Chiyo Shuzenji, we're r.....ready ma'am."

The lady who trained nezu on medican, and even helped deliver izuku's father into the world walks in.

Shu:"I expect you both to support your lady and lord in this. I'll watch to confirm the attempt for this one moment. After that you both are on your own."

Izuku nods and gets undressed. Then he begins to undress the lady before him. Both are blushing messes. So Bakugou holds izuku's hand for a moment.

Baku:"You got this."

Magne:"You are strong. Now relax and it won't hurt as much."

Magne looks away just like Bakugou, but both rub and squeeze their leaders hands until they're ready.

Once izuku gets atop ururaka. The consummation starts.

After an hour passes. Chiyo comes out of the room and nods. Mic smiles and runs to the ball room to inform the guests.

Bakugou wipes izuku's forehead with a wet cloth.

Baku:"You did good."

Izu:"Did I though? I feel so guilty."

Urur:"We both wanted something and did what we had to achieve our goals. There's nothing wrong with helping others. We both agreed to this. Now we must lay in the beds we've made together."

Magne gets them both some tea to relax.

Magne:"After tonight you both can sleep in separate beds, but for tonight. You must keep the act up."

Baku:"I'll be outside with mag if you need anything."

As both leave the room. Ururaka face a away from him. So izuku rubs her back just like magne would. This stares her.

Uru:"How did you know?"

Izu:"I asked your maiden about tricks to help you feel relaxed and more at home. This way you could get rest after a stressful day. I'm sorry I didn't ask before touching."

As izuku stops and pulls away. He doesn't expect her to face him again.

Uru:"I'll be alright with just cuddles."

Izuku pulls her to his chest and nuzzles his head atop hers. She takes in the smell of roses, and lavender that izuku smells of from his bath, and the sound of his heart racing. So she pushes his head to her hair.

That's when izuku takes in the smell of vanilla and coconut from her bath. This eases him and her both into a soft slumbering embrace.

Baku:"So what's next?"

Mag:"Well, now they'll be at it every night until my lady is with child. After that he's all yours."

Baku:"Why did she agree to this? Surely she gains nothing from this."

Mag:"That's where you're wrong. She gains protection for her family, and friends. You see she's a lonely woman. 9ne who always worked to help her family,  and was too busy to make friends. Now she has a chance to relax and be herself."

Baku:"She has alot in common with my boss. He risks his life to help others without question. When I first met him. He seemed so lonely and without hope. Then he was set free to spread his wings. I just hope that he doesn't fly too close to the sun."

Mag:"I heard about the pest that you can't find. Tomorrow I'll send a letter to our men to assist you in the search."

Bakugou pulls out a water skin with wine.

Baku:"A sip in celebration to the happy couple."

Bakugou takes a sip and passes it to magne with a smirk. So magne takes it and drinks.
