chapter 11: Day of Change

3rd person pov:

As bakugou walks into his cell. He flops on his bed and passes out. For the first time in years. It's a slumber without terror. As he dreams of farming without fighting. He heads to his small country house. Where he sees the slave without chains or a collar cooking dinner. As he moves in close for a kiss. A loud slam wakes him from the dream.

Bakugou sits up to see Edgeshot standing with his back against Bakugou's door.

Kei:"I did everything you taught me master. Please help me out here."

Edg:"No can do. For the plan to work. You'll have to die. For today marks the end of that family."

Kei:"Touya has nothing to do with this. He's been banished to the labyrinth since the day he was born!"

Edg:"He could still gain support as the oldest."

Kei:"I won't let you hurt him."

Keigo breaks his chains and charges at the door. So sero opens the door to let him out. Only to be pinned down by Edgeshot and with a chop to the neck. The warrior faints.

Sero and shinsou drag him away to the arena.

As Bakugou goes to open his door. He sees that it's locked.

Baku:"What gives old man?"

Edg:"You wanted to stay out. What better alaby than to be locked away by the villians who attacked the emperor."

Edgeshot hands bakugou a piece of bread through the bars.

Edg:"We'll be finishing by midnight."

Meanwhile, izuku is showing touya to his room in the tallest tower.

Izu:"Dinner will be held in a few hours. Please wait here, sir."

As izuku leaves. Enji rings a bell. Telling the slave to go to his room. So he heads back to get ready. While memories repeat in his mind.

Him fighting enji so that he couldn't be used against bakugou.

Izu:^not again. Why does this keep happening?^

Another memory of him at the age of four. Enji grabs him with a knife to his neck to lure his father to the balcony to look at the labyrinth. Izuku only remembers the smile his father gave him before enji dropped izuku and pushed his dad to his death. Then, the collar was placed on his neck before he was thrown in the very room he calls home now.

Hours pass, and the sun begins to set. Izuku goes to drive the carrage, but natsuo takes his place.

Nat:"Join my father inside. He needs someone to serve the meal."
Izu:"Understood young master."

As izuku gets in the carrage. Shinsou and sero pull on rope to lift up a wooden crucifix. On it is Keigo, who's tied to it and gagged by a rag tied around his head to go between his jaws. As he wakes up. The carrage pulls in, and enji steps out first. As touya steps out. He's shocked by the sight. As sero and shinsou impale keigo with spears. He yells out in pain. So the two guards continue until he's silent.

Touya cries tears of rage as the crowd watches this happen.  As touya picks up a nearby dagger to stab enji. Mic tackles him and drags him to the cells for fitting an iron mask. It is there that bakugou sees the male with snow white hair being dragged. Then, the mask is locked on.

As this happens. Enji walks to his seat. While mic takes the slave to enji's hidden disoplen room under the royal box seats. It is there that mic restrains izuku.

Mic:"This is for your safety. Once we start. You could be killed."

Izu:"It's better that way. Then, no one else will get hurt because of me."

Crowds cheering as cries of agony ring out. Then they cheer for the brason bull. So, the mic puts a blade to izuku's neck and lefts the collar with enji's name on it.

Mic:"Are you sure?"

Izu:"I just want the pain to stop."

Mic:*sigh*"As you wish."

Shoto heads out the opposite door to the arena dressed in black with half his face covered and a cloak.

Meanwhile, gladiators come out and strike natsuo and his father.

Enji:"W...what is this?"

Nat:"The end of your rain. Let the people be free."

Enji:"You knew about this?"

Nat:"Who do you think planned it? We'll both go down. Setting the nation free from our bloodline."

As the crowd gathers in the arena. Shigaraki opens the bull and pulls touya out before leaving with him.

Baku:"Hey, what's happening outside!?"

Edgeshot listens and hears mic whistle.

Edg:"Enji Todoroki has fallen."

Edgeshot opens Bakugou's cell. So the warrior runs to the arena as people are being lead out.

Baku:"Have you seen him?"

Sero:"Seen who?"

Mic walks up with a blood-soaked cloak and a slave collar.

Mic:"I'm sorry, but he died during the attack."

Mic hands the items over and bakugou clutches them before yelling at the sky.

Baku:"You fucking basterd! When I get to hell! I'll kill you all over again!"

Shinsou:"At least you both are free now. I'm sure the gods have welcomed him as a guest."

Bakugou walks out and heads to the cell. Even though he's a free man now. He still chooses to fight. As it's the only time he feels anything.

Two years have passed, and no one has seen or heard from the new appointed emperor. That is until a man with a white robe walks out of the palace. On this day, he heads to the coliseum. Mic and Edgeshot stand on the sidelines to blind into the crowd with the hooded male.

Bakugou fights like a wild beast. Ripping his enemies limb from limb. As if his life has no other purpose.

Once the fight ends. The male whispers in Mic's ear.

Mic:"Yes, sir."

As bakugou goes to his cell to drink a barrel of wine. Mic walks up.

Baku:"What the hell do you want?"

Mic:"The new emperor wishes to offer you a deal. Take the wooden sword as a symbol of your bravery and come serve him as his personal guard. In exchange, he'll give you what you want most."

Baku:"Can he bring back the dead?"

Mic:"Yes."

Bakugou stops drinking. So mic sets the wooden sword down and walks away.

As mic goes to drive the carrage. Bakugou walks out with the wooden sword. Walking passed them towards the palace.

Mic:"Need a lift?"

Bakugou pouts but takes his hand to sit beside him in the driver's seat.
