Adam's POV
"Do you think your parents would like me?" Justin asked as I parked the car in front of Mom and Dad's house. I turned to him and planted a kiss on his left cheek. I could tell he was nervous and I wanted to calm him down.
"Baby, is that even a question?" I said, now pulling him in for a hug: "Of course, they'd like you. You've been in my life for eight years and they know you very well. They're so fond of you, you know that."
"Yeah, but I haven't been your boyfriend for eight years, have I now?" Justin said, getting more and more worked-up.
"Boyfriend?" a voice said, making us both Jump. It was Mom, standing beside the car with a smile on her face.
"Mom!" I exclaimed, excitedly getting out of the car, Justin following right after me: "We didn't realize you were out here." Mom laughed, hugging me and Justin.
"Well, honey, as soon as you phoned me and your Father last night to tell us you boys were coming for a visit, we got so excited. Your Dad told me to wait for you out here, while he cooked dinner for both of you. Speaking of your Dad, here he comes!"
Soon, Justin and I were seated inside with Mom and Dad. I cleared my throat, getting ready for the discussion I'd be having with them.
"Um, Mom? Dad?" I began: "I'm, uh, I'm in a relationship with someone." There was a short silence before Mom and Dad burst out laughing.
"Good for you, Son!" Dad said, patting me on the back: "Is there any chance your Mom and I can meet this person? We'd love to get to know them."
"Actually, I think this special someone is right in front of us, darling," Mom told Dad, smiling. He gave her a confused look, then she pointed to Justin.
"Oh," Dad laughed, finally realizing what Mom meant, "so our boy ended up with Justin at last, eh? Congratulations, Son!" Then, turning to Justin, he added: "Welcome to the family, Justin! Well, you've been part of this family for eight years, but this time, we'd love to officially welcome you to the family as Adam's beloved boyfriend and of course, his best friend. Good luck with everything, boys! We're so happy for you two!"
"Couldn't be happier!" Mom put in: "Justin, Adam will treat you way better than that Cynthia girl treated you. His Dad and I are very sure about that." We all laughed.
"Thanks, Mr and Mrs McArthur!" Justin said, crying happy tears which I gently wiped away: "I'll take care of Adam. I promise." Now, it was time for us to let Justin's parents know. Would they support us?
Justin's POV
It was such a relief knowing that Adam's parents were happy for us, but I felt sick to my stomach as we got to my parents' house. I didn't know how they would take it. I mean, Justine already knew and she was over the moon about it, but Mom and Dad? Not sure. I had introduced my past lovers to them before, however, they had all been girls. Adam would be the first and last boy I'd be introducing to them, and I couldn't help but get all anxious about how they would react, though they, too, had known him for eight years. I just wanted to get this over with.
"So lovely to see you, boys!" Mom and Dad said as we were all seated: "Now, what is it you want to tell us, Son?" I didn't hesitate. I got straight to the point."
"Mom, Dad, Adam and I are in a relationship. He's the love of my life I'd really appreciate it if you'd respect that." There was a very long silence, until Mom broke it.
"Son, can you give me and your Dad a minute? We just want to have a little talk with Adam." I obeyed, leaving the room and going back to the car to wait for Adam.
Adam's POV
I sat there, nervously waiting to hear what Mr and Mrs Xu wanted to say to me. A few more minutes passed, then they both grabbed a chair each, sitting either side of me. Mrs Xu was the first one to speak.
"Adam, honey, we've known you for a very long time now, and it's a delight to know that you're the one our Son chose to give his heart to. Just promise us one thing, dear. Please, never, ever break his heart."
"Agreed," Mr Xu joined in, "Justin has given his heart to so many people in the past, but none of them were able to look after it. Every single one of them just left it wounded and bleeding, despite him giving them all the love he had inside of him. His Mom and I hope you could be the one who'd look after his heart forever and give him the love and care he deserves. He's been through so much pain, Adam. Please, deliver him from that."
I started to cry tears of happiness as Mr and Mrs Xu hugged me.
"You have nothing to worry about, Mr and Mrs Xu," I told them, "Justin is my treasure, and I'll keep him safe for as long as I live. Thank you so much for supporting our relationship."
I chatted with Justin's parents for another ten minutes before I was finally heading to the car, Mr and Mrs Xu waving goodbye to me. When I got to the car, I noticed Justin had fallen asleep on the passenger's seat, his mouth slighty open.
"You're so cute, you know that?" I whispered in his ear. I planted a soft kisss on his lips before driving us home. We were met by DJ and Tristan as soon as we walked into the house.
"Is he okay?" Tristan asked with concern after seeing Justin in my arms. I nodded.
"He's alright," I quietly answered, "he fell asleep on the way here and I didn't want to wake him up. I'll just take him upstairs and put him to bed."
"Okay," Tristan said, "let him rest. DJ and I got something to tell you guys later."
"Cool, dude. We'll see you later." I then headed upstairs to Justin's room. I couldn't stop smiling as I tucked him in.
"You just rest, baby," I whispered, taking hold of his hand, "I'm right here." At that, I gave him another kiss on his beautiful lips, allowing him to fall into the deepest slumber. Man! I just wanted to look at him forever. Only if he'd let me, though.
(Yes! Another chapter done! Let me know what y'all think of this one. Gosh! Adam and Justin are so cute! haha!)
