Adam's POV
I shouldn't have allowed Justin to make that video with me. I should have stood my ground and not given in. I should have been a lot firmer with him. But he wanted to film. That was all he wanted. To make our fans happy. No matter how sick he was. Besides, he was right. He never had any say, or any form of control over his health. He wanted to be in control of something, and that was making YouTube videos. I didn't want to take that away from him.
As we started setting up the camera and all our other filming equipment such the lighting, the microphones and our background, I couldn't help but feel pain rage through me as I watched Justin struggle, pausing every few seconds to catch his breath. The littlelest movements he performed seemed to tire him out so much. I sighed with relief when everything we needed for filming was finally set. At least he could sit down now and get a bit of rest before the camera was turned on. I watched him closely as he took his usual spot next to me, facing the camera, which was waiting to be turned on. I felt sick with worry as I noticed how pale he was becoming every second that passed. I knew then that letting him film even one video with me that day was such a bad idea. But like I said, that was all he wanted.
Justin's POV
Adam and I were now seated on our gaming chairs inside our recording studio, facing our camera, which was still not turned on. I noticed Adam looking at me so intensely. His eyes had the words "love" and "concern" written all over them. I knew he wasn't too keen on me filming with him that day to begin with because I was sick, but making YouTube videos with him makes me happy. And most importantly, it makes our fans happy. If only I wasn't so sick that day. If only I'd just listened to Adam. But I didn't.
We had been sitting in silence in front of our camera for several minutes when finally, Adam spoke, placing an arm around me and pulling me close.
"You sure you're up for making a video today, Buttercup?" he asked, planting a kiss on the top of my head: "You don't look alright at all. You sure you don't wanna just rest?" I turned to him and gave him a smile.
"I'll be fine, babe," I told him, "it's just one video, anyways. I'll go back to bed after this." Adam nodded.
"Good idea. I'll carry you to bed so you won't get too tired, okay, Justie?" I laughed. This is why I love Adam so much. He's always such a caring person.
Moments later, the camera was rolling. We decided we would do one of those Dhar Mann reaction videos we used to do since the majority of our fans seemed to love those. We reacted to this Dhar Mann video tittled: "Babysitter Abandons The Child", which was basically about a girl who volunteered to babysit her younger sister, but she was too busy buying nice clothes for herself and ended up letting the poor little girl out of her sight. It was just another of Dhar's many YouTube skits, but it genuinely made me so mad. How could someone be so irresponsible?
(Author's note: To those who aren't familiar with Dhar Mann, he's an inspirational YouTube content creator who uploads short films with life lessons and Adam and Justin actually reacted to the Dhar Mann video mentioned above. The link to it will be at the end of this chapter. Anyways, continue what you were about to say, Justin. Sorry for the rude interruption. Haha!)
This author really had the audacity to interrupt me, huh? How pathetic! Okay. I should probably just stay in character before the readers get all confused.
Like always, I was my usual cheerful, energetic, quirky self as we continued filming. Adam laughed as I jokingly banged the table, like I always do whenever I get mad at videogames we sometimes play for our content. Only this time, I was mad at one of the main characters in this Dhar Mann video we were reacting to.
"Don't break the table, dude!" Adam laughed, hysterically. Him calling me "dude" caught me off-guard, simply because he hadn't called me that since we became lovers; but I understood why he did it. At that time, not all of our fans knew we were lovers. And if they did, they probably wouldn't understand. Many of our fans are little kids after all.
