Chapter 21: The official date

Nadia's Pov

Today I woke up at exactly 1:30pm. I didn't sleep at night because I was on the phone with Maleek all night and now I am soo exhausted.

urghh! I will never let him convince me to stay up late again cox I am surely regretting it. I pray and eat then I tell Ummi I don't feel well but after I rest I will feel better.

I bath and continue sleeping and around 3:00pm, my phone starts ringing, urghh! What is it sef! I pick the call without checking who is calling.

"What!" I say

"Woah! Easy there tigress" Maleek chuckles

"Oh! So it's you, the same guy that convinced me to stay awake even though I knew it's a bad idea" I say grumpily

"Sorry boo! But you enjoyed the conversation"

"It doesn't matter. Now why did you interrupt my sleep?"

"Woahh! Calm down! I want to ask you a question"

"Go ahead and allow me to sleep"

"I want us to go on a date later today if you don't mind"

"I will ask Ummi" I find myself blushing profusely

"Sure!"

"Now! Let me sleep"

He laughs before replying
"okay beautiful, byee"

"Bye!" I say grumpily, he laughs out loud before ending the call.

Around 4pm, I woke up to pray Asr, then I go downstairs to eat lunch, I meet only Ummi and Anwar, I sit then ask Ummi where Abba is and she tells me he has an emergency meeting so he had to travel to USA to which I find wierd because he is retired for heaven's sake!!!

Well, we start eating then Anwar decides to open his big mouth but he doesn't need to know I said that okayyy!

"Nadia, so Abdul tells me you decided to give him a chance and you even agreed to go on a date with him later today" he says pretending he's amused.

"Oh really!" Ummi looks at me with complete suprise on her face

"Actually... I was planning on asking you if I can go" I say with the small hope of her allowing me to go

"Nadia, you are an adult and I trust you to do the right thing so you don't have to ask me" Ummi says now sounding serious

"So it's a yes?" I ask grinning widely

"Of course" Anwar helps her answer

And I turn to Anwar because I know Maleek wouldn't just reveal random information especially concerning us.

"oga start talking! How did you know all this information?"

"I told you Abdul told me na" he answers almost immediately

"I know Maleek would not give out the most random information to you specifically"

"And what do you mean me specifically?"

"I mean you are not his best friend"

"I am! You were out of the country for five good years, and he knew I had a sister but never knew you were the one so that's why I invited him to your birthday party so you guys would meet" he finally stops talking

"Gosh! I asked a simple question not your autobiography or his biography geez!, so the plan was for him to meet me then the Ayan drama happened?"

"Yeah!"
