The One I Can't Have ( A Riker Lynch fan fiction story)

Chapter 22

Riker

The room got super silent after our announcement. I couldn't really tell from anyone,except Rydel of course, what they were thinking. Rydel had a big smile on her face and was itching to get up and hug us. My mom on the other hand started crying. I couldn't tell if it was happy tears or sad tears. Everyone just had blank stares. No one was saying anything and I know Bree and I were getting frustrated. So I decided to speak up.

" well this isn't the reaction I thought we would get" I said as I sat back down in my chair. The next thing I know everyone got up from their seats and came and hugged us. 

" oh my stars I am so happy for you!" My mom said as she hugged us both. She wiped away her tears " I am excited to be a grandma again!" I let out a sigh of relief as we got hugs and congrats from everyone. 

" man you guys had me scared there for a bit!" I said.

" we are always going to be happy for you Riker, we just had to let it sink in first." Rocky piped up. 

" so Bree when are you due?" Rydek said as she got out of a hug with her.

" I don't know. I'm just really surprised by this. I will make an appointment so we can find out. But I am guessing either late September or October." Bree said as she smiled. I pulled her into a hug. We had already told Maddie before this dinner and she was more than excited. 

" I am so excited to plan a baby shower!" Rydel and mom said pretty much in unison. It has everyone laughing. 

" well, we want to keep this on the down low because Bree said her pregnancy with Maddie was touch and go the first few months with how sick she was. We don't want this news escaping from you guys. I will let you know when we are ready to announce to the fans and the public. I hope you understand. I am sure too that there will be rumors going around but we don't want to confirm or deny them as always." I looked at everyone as I said this. 

" yes cap'n" everyone said as I smirked. I loved when they called me cap'n. It got worse after I dressed as jack sparrow on dancing with the stars. Love that movie. 

" I can't wait to decorate a nursery! Looks like we will have to do a remodel before baby comes." Rydel said. I looked at her with semi sad eyes.

" we are actually thinking of finding our own home before baby comes. We already no longer have a guest room and we don't want to burden you guys. Having a baby in the house is probably going to make this house a little hectic." I said as Bree was nodding next to me. The band looked extremely sad especially Rydel.

Bree went over and hugged her " it's for the best interest of the band and it's not like we won't be here a lot. We just need outer space as a married couple with children." She tried to justify it to them. They all just nodded in agreement as we went back to talking about our latest album and tour coming up. The tour will kick off in May so we have 4 months away. It's exciting but at the same time I am nervous for tour being away from my growing family.

Brianna

After our shocking announcement, my parents left and the band had a meeting in the dining room. Maddie and I decided to snuggle on the couch and watch the Disney channel. Her favorite show just happens to be Austin and Ally. 

" mama uncle Ross is so funny as Austin!" She giggled. I smiled and agreed. I could hear the band talking about the tour.

" we will start the west coast leg around May 5th. We wil go through Seattle, Portland, Eugene, Sacramento, L.A., San Diego, Phoenix, Albuquerque, Vegas, Denver, salt lake, and Boise. Then the east coast and Midwest will start after the Fourth of July. There will be a good two week break between legs of the tour for rest. We will hit up Austin, Dallas,Houston, Kansas City, Minneapolis, New Orleans, Chicago, Birmingham, Atlanta, Miami, Orlando, Cincinnati, D.C, Pittsburgh, NYC, and Boston will round out our east coast leg. Then there will be a two month break. We will head to Europe for the month of November to be back for thanksgiving and Christmas."  I heard Mark say. I quickly took out my calendar and looked at dates. They will be home for their two month break around our due date with this baby. That's gave me a sigh of relief. Also Maddie will be out of school after the show in L.A so we will be able to join then as much as possible while they are on tour. I just have to figure out how I am going to make my doctors appointments.
