Our wedding day, January 13th...
Brianna
I woke up this morning nervous as hell. Maddie, Rydel, Callista, Avery and I spent the night before at a hotel doing girlie things. I didn't want a bachelorette party because i wanted Maddie to be able to be a part of everything and I figured getting pedicures and watching chick flicks would be perfect.
" good morning soon to be mrs. Lynch!" Rydel said excitedly. Our wedding wasn't until this evening and I had the whole day planned for the girls. This was the only thing I really wanted to focus on detail wise. I wanted to show my girls how much I appreciate them standing by me.
" good morning Del." I said as I sat up in the bed I was sharing with Maddie. Everyone was slowly getting up.
" ok ladies, so obviously we're getting our hair and makeup done today so don't wash your hair. Our first stop this morning is to go eat some breakfast!" I said as we all got up and started getting ourselves ready.
After our late breakfast we headed to the salon to get our hair and makeup done. I let the girls pick how they wanted their hair. The only one I needed to give instruction to was Maddie. She and I agreed on a half up half down curly style for her beautiful hair. I decided to go with a hairstyle similar to what Rydel did to my hair the night of the surprise engagement. I thought it would complement the dress too. After hair was done we went back to have our makeup done as well. Maddie had simple eyeshadow and mascara with lipgloss, I went for a subtle smoky eye, again similar to how Rydel did my make up for our engagement.
Everyone looked absolutely beautiful as we left the salon and headed to the venue which was at The Grand Long Beach. We had to have an indoor ceremony and reception for obvious reasons as it was mid January. We arrived to a buffet of snacks to keep us going, then we had to wait for the photographer before getting dress so we sat around chit chatting.
" thank you for including us in your big day" Callista said.
" of course Callie! I had realized how much I missed you and Avery the past few years and I didn't want you to miss it." I answered her. " Delly, thank you for all your hard work the past three months. I don't know how else to show you I appreciate it."
" aw it's no big deal! I am just so happy for you and my brother." Rydel said.
" so with all that I have a few gifts for you girls." I said as I pulled out a few boxes from under the table. Riker and I had gotten the girls, minus Madeline, The signature Tiffany heart bracelets with their names inscribed on them. Maddie got a silver jewelry box with her name on it. But her name was written out very differently. It said Madeline Grace Lynch est.January 13, 2015. She didn't notice but Rydel did.
" wow! The newest member of the Lynch family! I get a niece! For real this time!" Rydel was ecstatic. I was trying not to shed any tears before the ceremony. Riker and I decided that the wedding will also be when he signs the official adoption papers as well.
I grabbed Maddie and held her in my lap. I kissed her and hugged her a lot before the photographer showed up. The girls got dressed then they helped me get into mine. I had noticed it had gotten a little snug since my last fitting a couple days ago but shrugged it off. Must be from all the food us girls had been eating the past 24 hours. The photographer snapped all sorts of pictures then we went into the ceremony area to have our bridesmaid formal pictures taken.
Riker and I decided to not see each other until the ceremony so we waited to do the complete bridal party photos for when the cocktail hour was happening. Once we were done with pictures we got visitors in our dressing room. My mom, dad, and Stormie and Mark came in to see us and say hi. They don't know about the adoption papers yet we want that to be a surprise for them.
