Chapeter 21

Riker

We got to my parents house where the brought all the gifts home for us to open today. That's what we came over for. That's and to bring Maddie home.We went into the family room and started opening gifts with Rydel writing down all the names for thank-yous. We relieved a lot of household items like dishes, cups, drinking glasses, curtains, utensils etc. Then my mom, and dad came in with a small envelope. 

" this is our gift to you two. Now go on and open it I have waited long enough" mom said excitedly.

I let Brianna open this one. There was a card and inside the card was two airline tickets and a printout for a stay at sandals resort in Jamaica for a week with departure day being a week from today.

" wow thank you Stormie and Mark!" Brianna said as she got up to hug them. I don't know what happened but as she got up she lost her balance and fell almost passing out, I caught her before she crashed into anything.

" babe have you eaten anything this morning?" I asked her as my mom went to get her some orange juice and a bagel for her.

" I don't remember if I did or not. Gosh I've just been feeling off lately. Sorry must be the stress from the wedding I guess" she said and shrugged. She sat up and ate the bagel and sipped in the orange juice.

"Thank you mom and dad. We can't wait to go! It will be wonderful to get away!" I said as I held Bree.

" don't worry about Maddie either. We will keep her and make sure she gets to school and everything." Mom told us. She then looked at Bree funny." Oh sweetheart, she is really pale. You should take her home and let her rest. We just wanted to give you the gift today." 

" ok mom. Thank you guys again." I said as I got up and gave everyone a hug. 

" Riker I'll be right behind you. I have a couple loads of laundry to do so I will be home shortly." Rydel said as we headed out the door and she helped me load up the the gifts in the back of my car. 

" alright, thanks for your help. Love ya sis" I said as I got into the car and we drove off. Bree must really be sick. 

We pulled into the driveway and walked into the band house. I led Bree to our room and helped her get settled in." Babe do you need anything to drink or eat?" I asked her.

" just some water. I am not hungry. Thanks babe." She said as I walked into the kitchen to grab a bottle of water for her. Rydel was home and came into the kitchen as I was leaving. 

" is she ok?" She asks.

" I don't know. She says she is feeling off today." I said as I headed to get her water to her.

" Bree, I am really concerned about you. Are you sure everything is ok?" I ask her before leaving her alone.

" I don't know. The last time I felt this sick was..was..when I found out I was pregnant with Madeline. But I'm on the shot. I shouldn't be pregnant." She told me.

" when was your last shot?" I ask her. I know they last three months but that's about all I know.

" I need to go get my next shot in a couple days so it was three months ago. I was  day late though because of my work schedule." She looked stunned." I think I might be pregnant." 

" really?" I asked trying not to sound too excited. I have always wanted a big family like my own. I just hope she isn't upset about it if she is. " well let's just get you feeling a little better and we will deal with this tomorrow. For today, just rest a bit ok?"

" ok. Thanks Riker"

" for what?" I asked

" not freaking out. I didn't do it on purpose. This was completely an accident."
