Cedric Diggory walked to class with his head a little lower than usual, his usual sense of confidence seemed to be replaced with a more bruised ego.

He spent a lot of the night thinking of Anita Zablin and the scenarios of her telling Willow Malfoy what she heard. Cedric didn't feel comfortable with either of them thinking he had said anything, but he thought about how he should've defended her more.

It wasn't exactly his place because he barely knew the girl but still, she didn't deserve having her name trashed while she wasn't around.

The air was frigid and the wind was growing stronger by the day, just another perk of being at Hogwarts in the fall.

The seasons hadn't quite changed yet, though it was something Cedric adored, he was still content with the crisp fall air causing his cheeks to burn a little.

He accidentally, but on purpose at the same time, began to show up to Herbology earlier than ever before. Once he started to notice Willow Malfoy, he noticed she showed up to every class early.

When he walked into the greenhouse, immediately smelling dirt and fertilizer, he noticed she hadn't reached class just yet. Without fail, she'd be there any second.

Cedric realized for the first time in his life how easy it was to pick up on people's schedules or habits, he realized he had never hyper-fixated on someone else before her.  It thought there was something special about that.

While he was thinking these thoughts, a familiar blonde walked into the room.

Her black shoes made an audible squeak as she entered, but the sound of the greenhouse door opening wouldn't have been able to be hidden anyway.

Cedric couldn't help but look up, immediately noting how beautiful she appeared. Black bow in her long blonde hair, her grey vest and robes perfectly ironed, and she always seemed to have a naturally attractive pink tint to her cheeks.

As the two met eyes, Cedric felt a beat skip in his heart, not a feeling he felt often, causing him to look back to the space of dirt in front of him.

It was hard to grasp a face that beautiful, a face he seemed so familiar with but so unidentified at the same time. How could someone be that exquisite but he never paid much attention to her before?

The hard fact he seemed to be was facing was she was so much more than some gorgeous girl. She was interesting, intelligent, and dedicated to her friendships, as well as her hobbies.
