Willow continued to wear the necklace left in her room daily, hoping every day that someone would comment on it and give her more insight.

She hoped that allowing Anita to wear it that it would cause someone to slip up on their secrets, but nothing seemed to come of it.

A letter somehow found its way into her room in the late afternoon. She didn't forget to notice how it was in the same place as the necklace.

"Miss Malfoy,
Meet me at the Astronomy tower tonight
around 8. New insight regarding the first task
has been found.

See you there,
Cedric."

Willow was surprised that his handwriting appeared so neat for Draco's was similar to chicken scratch.

The letter was nothing short of disappointing as she read it, as well as scanned it over and over for some sort of indication that he wanted to just be with her alone.

Nothing but studying and research, she told herself. The few days after he asked for her help was full of her reminding herself to back off.

The walls began to form once again for she felt like a fool to ever let them begin to fall. Disappointment felt like her middle name.

She was just a teenage girl after all, and the absence of her father's love left her with nothing but a longing for attention.

That was something she'd never admit to anyone or herself. She wanted to be deeply loved and admired by one individual, but all love seemed to be fake.

Except for George and Anita's, Willow watched with a twisted stomach as her dear friend spoke of how charming the boy was. Of how in love she was with him and how if even he felt 1/4th of what she did, it would be more than enough.

Maybe love wasn't dead. She loved her friends, her mother, and Draco. Time proved that was all she needed.

Willow didn't bother to tell her friends about helping Cedric for they would give her nothing but false hope and shit about it.

She didn't want to disappoint her friends when nothing came out of every time they saw one another.

She showed up at 8:03 at the Astronomy Tower, wearing an old Slytherin hoodie and a pair of worn-in leggings.

When she entered, the space was empty and silent. No boy or love story in sight for her, at least at first glance.

"Cedric?" His name came as a whisper for she wasn't sure what she'd find when she spoke. She hoped no one had a similar idea to meet tonight.
