"What happened?" Willow slurred her words as she stumbled out of the party, noting that the scary blonde boy was gone.

Maeve didn't respond as the girls all slipped outside behind their friend, they were confused but supportive.

Willow soon realized she didn't get to say goodbye to Cedric and thought about his face as he realized she had left unexpectedly, hoping one of the boys could explain. Hopefully, they wouldn't leave out that it was an option.

"Fred," Maeve finally choked out as they were far away from the large castle. The smell of alcohol and sweat reeked off the girls, it remained in the air as they all breathed heavily out of their mouths.

"Fred what?" Anita asked, appearing like she was fighting for her life as she hunched over and caught her breath. Maeve often forgot the size of her legs.

"He, he," With her nose and ears redder than ever before and her words sounding like the alphabet in the opposite order, Willow realized Maeve was extremely intoxicated.

"He was talking to Angelina Johnson!" She yelled suddenly, throwing her hands in the air and bursting into a fit of tears.

Willow and Anita shot each other a look before walking to their friend and putting their arms around her, rubbing her back softly.

"Oh dear, I'm so," Anita spoke gently, furrowing her eyebrows at Willow. "Sorry?"

Angelina Johnson was a very nice girl, one that they saw often and never seemed to have any problems with, so the two friends were very lost.

"What exactly happened, Mae?" Willow asked, patting the head of her friend's straightened hair. Maeve continued to sob, surely ruining every ounce of eyeliner she put on.

"I was going to get a drink and then I turned around to see," She leaned up, which Willow was thankful for because she couldn't understand a word.

"And Fred was talking to Angelina Johnson! They were laughing together!" A child-like cry began again, pitching against the dark atmosphere.

"Oh wow," Willow mirrored Anita's same expressions from before, looking to the other girl for help. "And why does that upset you?"

She was brave enough to ask it, knowing that the confusion between the three was unsolved, and even though Maeve was about to get really rude, she could stand it.

"Why does that upset me?" Right on cue. "Because! He used to like Angelina Johnson! And he was chatting it up with her while I wasn't there!"
